Fresh News a week before 3.8 Livestream

I decided to simply skip Suoming, or at least for now. First reason is that I don't make mod lolis, I just hate them all. And Suoming is somewhat of a loli you won't convince me otherwise! Second reason is that her body proportions are a mess. Huge head, long neck, little hands and weird Nahida genshin-like body are all painful to watch in my opinion. Of course I could give a sweat to fix it myself but my entire soul feels like it's not worth the time and efforts. Third reason is that her base texture assets are strangely pretty poor compared to the 3 last releases (Jingran/Qingxiao/Hsin). I analyzed them one by one and I noticed a significant decrease of qualitative work especially considering she only has one form. The largest area on her chest is just a 2D flat pattern not even decently normalmapped. My hypothesis is that Hsin took all the budget and attention from the devs in 3.7 so that only a fraction was left for her production. To fix that, Kuro should just calm down with the release pace.

So instead of wasting my time on the weird midget, I'll my focus efforts onto a very dear project of mine : the reborn of Radiant Rover base skins! Both Male and Female are planned. To this day I counted no more than 43 messages or mentions of yours wanting these two back (please I get it, you can stop now!). Truth is, even today Rovers remain useful in a lot of cases : they're free to play, potentially futurpoof with 4.0 fusion/glacio and fun to use aside from being the main protagonist. I could potentially also delay Lily for this since I'm not fond of her design either (too close from a genshin character like Layla, too generic and too close to shorekeeper) but since she's not a Loli don't despair as she might receive the Radiant touch someday.

I already visited Rovers' assets and now I can see myself rebuilding a new version for each mod but it won't come with a light price since those are unfortunatenly not compatible. Also there's one thing in the way : my former bonus haircut for Female. You were a good number to fall for that one and I told you the chances to see it again were completely destroyed because of the new 3.5 hair quad-texture array that requires raw normalmaps only buildable with a full-polygon model (only in the hands of Kuro's devs). Although I worked once as a texturer so I know an impish secret way to finally bring it back! It will be extremely difficult and even if somehow I succeed I want you to know they won't receive the 3.0+ dynamic light reflections. BUT I'll make something to replace it like what you have for 2.0 characters and the result should be better than what we had in my old release so it's still a win/win for you.

Of course this won't be the only upgrade : just like that I'll also have the occasion to do even better than the old version for the rest of their body. I'll try to bring the textures I did back in the day to another level with the new materials. It's not possible for hair but I know a fairly reliable ways to do it for everything else. My humans I have the feeling it will be amazing so stick with me a little longer!

Lastly I'm not fond of sharing my personal real life struggles but I must inform you that since Radiant Qingxiao I barely had a moment to breath. The impact on my health was strong enough to send me back to hospital. For those who never read the introduction I have permanent heavy health issues for almost 20 years now. Obviously I overworked myself lately with this and my real job, and I stayed over there a week for my body to recover. I got back home couple of days ago but be aware I wouldn't be able to make a mod of a 2-form-sentinel before a little while haha!!!
