Radiant Jingran - Base Version

Greetings my dear humans!

Almost no mods for jingran right? Don't worry your favorite rabbit workshop is here to save the day! Because Jingran means a lot to us and above all because we refuse to let male characters down.

I'll be real with you, this mod required a lot of perseverance to get to this result from the fact Vanilla Jingran was basically already close to perfection meaning, hardly improvable. The only thing I could question was the overwhelming amount of glowing gold and vfx on the lower part of his clothes. I admit it was fun and original at first but for me it quickly became an annoying visual pollution. I took care of it with a high quality normal-mapped runic pattern of mine, also still slightly glowing.

The long battle to find upgrades for Jingran costs me a lot of dead bodies... a lot of aborted ideas, lot of searching and testings to ultimately land on painful U-turns because something wasn't right. Literally hours of work no one will ever see and in that manner, what you have before your eyes is the final best elected probabilities I could came up with. The 3 outfit sub-colors are frankly the best synergizing with his shaders and cyan vfx. The white main color (obviously an assassin's creed outfit tribute) was a pure madness to pull out from such dark base assets while having no detail loss or bad artefacts. Also, If you wonder I couldn't make his skin much darker due to native skin shaders. Finally, even if it mights sound feminine those male pink hair are definitly worth trying : Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen is not the one you should call "girly" and pink haired anime guys are actually usually the most insane & violent people.

Now let's have a last bif of a discussion about his eyes, while analyzing his appearance I found something a bit off and I'll ask you to trust me on what follows. First, a small reminder about Yin and Yang initial features both in real and fictional world : my dear chinese friends told me Yin is related to the moon, water, dream, cold, darkness, harmony, ethereal and magical world, immaterial while on the other side Yang is the sun, burning, reality, natural energy, heat, earth, solid, vitality and more. I know Kuro tried something like "one eye per form" but it didn't felt right or fully pleasurable for me they way they produced it : for example a glowing of same intensity happens with both his eyes during his Yin form (darkness). And if everything turns to cyan blue like his hair, I would prefer the pulsating eye being of the same color... hence I inverted their positions. To sum it up, here is my new take : Jingran has 2 eyes, one for Yang (left & colored), one of Yin (right - blind). I imagined his tacet mark could have been awaken and originated from a past wound forever blinding him while also tainting this eye by magical power. In Yang form, Yang real colored eye is well and living just like you and me : Jingran relies on it to see reality and during this time Yin, as a plain blind eye, is in fact just sleeping! And then when Yin's form kicks in, Yin eye finally awakes. Now Jingran is able to see magical/ethereal world and act on those forces, although this doesn't mean his left Yang eye turns totally blind (while the opposite is not true). That's what makes my new design very realistic, interesting and why it makes brings a stronger duality. I hope you will enjoy this take! And in case you don't like it, you always have a roll back vanilla option.

• [RSHIFT + BACKSPACE] : Character Express Lock = Press this to lock / unlock your prefered character setup. Only available while the character is displayed. Be careful not to hit any other key while locking or unlocking. (See the tutorial #4 for more infos about express locks)

• [RCTRL + BACKSPACE] : Signature Weapon & Quarterstaff Express Lock = Press this to lock / unlock your prefered setup for the signature weapon or quarterstaff (forte weapon attached with a lantern). This shortcut is intentionally different from character's to avoid possible conflicts. As express locks are a bit more fragile for those separate items make sure to hit your shortcut keys while they're visible and displayed on the weapon menu or outside world's specific pose. Sword and quarterstaff are never displayed together so there should be no possible conflict between those two. (See the tutorial #4 for more infos about express locks)

• [RIGHT SHIFT + DOWN] : Eye Color = Blind Eye & Brown (default) | Blind Eye & Yellow | Blind Eye & Red | Blind Eye & Green | Vanilla -- (Affecting both Yin and Yang Forms eye pupils)

• [RIGHT SHIFT + LEFT] : Outfit Sub-Color = Corrupted Red (default) | Weathered Green | Darkness Blue -- (Affecting only the outfit, signature weapon and quarterstaff are separated to prevent conflicts)

• [RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT] : Outfit Main-Color = Light (default) | Dark

• [RIGHT SHIFT + 0] : Skin Tone = Tanned (default) | Mildly Tanned | Vanilla White

• [RIGHT SHIFT + 9] : Yin Form Sclera = White Sclera (default) | Dark Sclera -- (Only affecting Yin Form, not Yang Form)

• [RIGHT SHIFT + 8] : Thigh Wallet Setup = On (default) | Off
