Small note about 3.4 version!

You might have noticed your XXMI and WWMI software updated yesterday. Despite this was a critical code improvement, I reassure you no manual reinstallation was required. Although all your precious .ini settings were reseted and this might impact your mod experience by creating bad glitches if not well set. So I draw your attention on the above screenshot : those personal settings of mine will handle the highest number of mods with the least amount of issues. "Texture Boost" value is the only one you could change depending of your performances, rest is mandatory for stability. "Max LOD bias" is one of the most important if you don't want texture glitching with camera distance but sadly it remains very performance hungry. Untick this one only if you have no choice because of too much stuttering.

For the 4 past days I've updated some of my mods for multiple fixes : Rover M & F, Hiyuki, Denia, Luuk Herssen, Lynae, Mornye and Sigrika! An express lock toggle was added to those 100% compatible. The LOD fixes were a lot of work those mods will now be able to handle a lot better any future breaks or more modest graphic settings. Sadly there are still a lot of old mods needing the same attention but as it's an epic piece of labor I'll try to update them on the long run. Be sure to keep an eye on characters like Aemeath, Phrolova, Cantarella, Qiuyuan, Ciaccona, Zani, Phoebe, Carlotta, Xiangli Yao, Zhezhi for any stability update in the next months!

Lastly let us remember what's planned for the following weeks! I'll immediately jump on the future Radiant Lucilla mod and give my best to create something cool with her. I already have some ideas but I fear they are a bit too ambitious! (one among them is about crafting a shorter secretary skirt out of her robe which will be insanely difficult with clipping/animations). Also, for a couple hours yesterday I played with Lucy and Rebecca assets : god there's so much potential with them I can't wait to finish Lucilla and try out some nice changes! Be sure I won't forget about those two!!!

Now until next time, take care and good luck for our Lucilla pulls!

Hey Angel, yeah a few of users have a similar issue as you seem to have (you are a very few actually, I only had 5 report among thousands). Sadly I don't have much idea about the origin of this issue. 3 of them solved it by making sure they were running the game with DX11, another one with DLSS. So since I don't have much time (hard working on Lucilla) I'll copy/paste to you an answer I sent to one of those users. I wish you luck trying to find a solution and don't hesitate to tell me if something worked. That's actually important to know for me as well even if I don't suffer from it. If nothing is working you will have more chance to ask to any XXMI creators : "First, it's heavily possible some of your mods, with their creators being very very sloppy, careless or just amateurs, forgot or didn't even thought to filter their initial textures. For the record, I filter my textures to the maximum in every single one of my mods. Meaning : there is not even a single texture in the totality of my mods for wuthering waves that doesn't cover the character they are related to. I take immense quantity of time to acknowledge all my hashes and understand what they do, each one of them in all kind of texture. I remove every texture not related and there are 0% doubt rate. But YES I'm almost the only mod creator to do that (I only know one other than me so far) Small explanation : When we use softwares to creates our mods (mainly through blender), those suck up the displayed textures from the game and add them automatically to the final mod. Thing is, it's not a perfect step and multiple texture from the environnement get sucked up into the character one. A LOT of mod creator (involving a lot of lazy or amateurs) don't give a damn about filtering and just toss the whole thing without giving much sweat. Leaving a big quantity of environnement related texture to get replaced, thus, creating flickering. So this is the first possibility and again it doesn't involve any of my mods since I filter 100%, I let no error or even doubt and I have currently around 5000+ users for my wuthering waves mods so far. What you can do to check that out is : removing all of your mod from the mod folder (put them somewhere else on your drive). Then one by one cut/paste them back into the mod folder while hitting F10 every mod added to see if one generate this issue. Could be an association of mods (for instance if the mod creator is sloppy and let 2-3 per his mods and the problem occurs when 15-20 is reached). so try to sort them by creator before doing that. Then the other possible issue after this idea should be your graphic settings OR your graphic hardware not supporting something. Graphic settings, sadly it will require some time but tweak all options in graphic settings (in game) and see if it solves the issue. My first thought would be : vertical sync, shadow quality, AO, Volumetric fog/light, DLSS, filter anisotrope and auto exposure in priority. After that's checked, sadly it will be your hardware. And to prove that you would need to visit a friend with another machine/pc, using mods as well, preferably similar one or taking your mod config to his place. Ofc you having another device/pc would be best if you have a nerdy sister, mother or father lol. I can guarrantee you there is no issue with my mods on that matter, the last people having this issue came to me was 5 month ago and the culprit for him was DLSS and sadly his pc not handling directX12 correctly. Took quite some time to answer your question ^ ^ I did my best and I hope you will find out the lesser evil solution. I shall return to Lucilla... she goes really hard with me I hate her assets' difficulty!" -end of the message-

I always appreciate your fantastic work. I understand that you’ve been working on various fixes for version 3.4, but currently, flickering in the background occurs with costume mods in general. This happens with your mod as well as with others. I tried the settings you suggested, but it didn’t make a difference. Is this a general issue with WWMI (XXMI), or is it something that needs to be addressed on the costume mod side? If you know of any planned fixes or have any information, please let me know! By the way, I’m using Chisa’s Ultima! Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Yes, just before beginning to work on Radiant Lucilla (having a very hard time right now with her) I was conducting a small operation that consists of making my mods more steady. But you got the meaning wrong. There wasn't any error with my mods, I mod video games for 20 years now and I'm past the beginner issues. In my recent improvments I was just giving them more special case / "lower graphic settings" handling power. The flickering background doesn't come from my mods I'm 100% sure of it. It's even kind of depressing you thought about my mods being the culprit for this kind of issues! So there are several possible causes for your flickering background issues and in each one it's up to you to find the real culprit. First, it's heavily possible some of your mods, with their creators being very very sloppy, careless or just amateurs, forgot or didn't even thought to filter their initial textures. For the record, I filter my textures to the maximum in every single one of my mods. You fixed it so fast, I'm always so glad! but i'd also like to let you know that for me; Luuk's eyes still aren't fixed yet..The black scleara's still only appear when his forte is full. and the face tatoos doesn't appear at all. I've already followed the settings you uploaded, really sorry if I'm pestering you😓

the only toggles that work are only his outfit energy colors and his horns. for his hair, it can only turn to white
