Thank you for talking about how sullen and humorless adult Aang is. This guy is just not Aang at all.
Also I don't understand how a story about anti-imperialism has spawned so many spinoffs about how people agitating for equality are evil, duplicitous, and wrongy-wrong liars. Is it precisely *because* of the antiimperialism, antiwar messaging of the first one, like people feel the need to rewrite it into something more palatable? Idk it's just frustrating. Where's the movie about how all the nonbenders are now airbenders.
God I hate the Netflix animation style. It's exactly the same for every one of their shows, and as a result looks cheap and takes me out of the story because the visuals aren't related to the narrative or filmmaking, they're just The Netflix Visuals. I wish someone wish an actual vision would get funding for animation.
Guilty came the verdict, on the back of the judge admitting into evidence the AI-generated description of Prye-vit Corp.'s license reader cameras on the grounds that it, like DNA evidence, has some useful gradient of forensic certainty to it. While the footage itself was deleted, the prosecution successfully argued that the chances of the generated text implicating the defendant were comparable to the chance that DNA sourced from hair could be attributed to a specific individual. ehehe vomit vomit
I feel like LOK did a good job with Aangs son coming to that reality, as new airbenders suddenly began emerging they lacked the culture, discipline and over all "air-bender" monk vibe and he takes them in to teach them, even though clearly frustrated by this
Kind of crazy how committed to 'see the guy you thought was in favour of good things? he was evil actually.' the avatar guys are cause this was also kind of how the conflict of the first season of Korra went.
no big cool birds for the poors in this dystopia, just little sucky ones
Thanks for the review. Everything I've heard about this movie makes it sound like it exists solely to "wow" with its animation and show off the Gaang again, and honestly that sounds incredibly boring to me. People can say what they want about Legend of Korra, but I'm watching it for the first time since I was a kid and there's nothing I appreciate more than its willingness to move forward and try new things.
Aang did crack one (1) joke when he sent Zuko a silly letter, unfortunately he was not even on screen when this happened :(
NOW THIS IS DYSTOPIAN
At least they gave us muscles
Katara really got done dirty in the movie, she's just there to force completely contrived conflicts "It's too dangerous, let's just go home and do nothing" like really? Is that what the original Katara would have said?
No and it’s also not something this Katara said. She said they should turn back when Aang was pushing the gang forward into a life-threatening situation without giving any of them a chance to understand or agree to it. Not exactly unreasonable or out of character for her to get upset about it.
Wow. I truly hate that animation. AI art made by humans. So I guess the upside is that a small country’s worth of water wasn’t wasted for this. Like for the next adaptation can it just be sock puppets or something. Something actually endearing.
you cant be serious bruh "ai art made by humans" 🥹🥹
I’m crying at the review being like 7 min 😭😭
The the movie is good. Basically all of its issues stem from it being barely 80 minutes long
Thumbs down for stupid big daddy
New avatar fighting game, however, is awesome.
Double feature!!
