Maybe this is me seeing correlation and causation where there is none but I think the genesis point of these videos was Caddicarus making that Peppa Pig video which was like 45% him taking issue with the shows messaging as a parent to 2 kids and 55% him being a comedy angry critic So if you don’t have that 45% perspective or insight and you’re not as funny as Caddicarus, you end up here

I kind of agree. I liked the video and do absolutely find the takes about daniel tiger funny and ridiculous, but it kind of just seems like going after random autistic youtubers then being shocked they have weird takes. I dont think joel expected lindsays more compassionate, realistic approach

A lot of childhating comments online are about how they as a child would never have been allowed to act a certain (age appropriate) way, because their parents would yell/hit/spank them. And they think parents should still do that.

Great video. I will say that diagnosing specific things someone was shamed for in early childhood based off their Daniel tiger hate video is wild. I get the point that ppl who hate kids often have some unresolved trauma but Lindsey Ellis takes that to the wayyyy extreme level of saying the creator was shamed for specific things in the section about max. I just think it’s important to stay away from making big assumptions about people’s life and childhood based off a video they made. It’s not something u can actually do reliably and attempting it borders on pseudoscience.
I kind of disagree, the giys in the video seemed neurodivergent themselves (as someone who is and knows and am friends with people who are) and shes being realisric and compassionate. She never said she knows 100% sure, but i think its so very likely they have some level of trauma, as she aptly explained EVERYONE does.
