God always shows up doesn't He? Always on time. Thank you old friend for the wisdom that I needed to be reminded of. Prayers for you and family, whatever the need.

Loved this message. I'm the worship leader at our local church and one Sunday morning on my way out the door my wife says to me, "it's not about you." Fast forward to today, we're listening to this message together in the car and when you said, "it's not about you" my wife turns to me and says, "remember that time I said, "it's not about you? That's what I meant!" Praying for you guys and your families. Thank you for ministering, for choosing to participate in Ephesians 2:10. Keep going!

Thank you for this! Such a great reminder and some new perspectives on this verse that I haven't thought about before. Prov. 3:5 is also one of my two favorite Bible verses. Initially, it was my favorite simply because it was the first verse I memorized as a child. But later it became more personal when God used it to coax me off a metaphorical ledge when I was very angry at Him and tempted to walk away. I'd been praying, yelling at God, asking over and over, "Why? ... I don't understand why. ... I just don't understand. ..." and the words "lean not on your own understanding" came into my mind out of nowhere and literally stopped me in my tracks and turned me around. (This was over a decade ago.) The other of my two favorites, Isaiah 40:31, also applies to this message and the concept of God's strength being made perfect in our weakness and being strong when we are weak. It is, in my entirely biased opinion as an avid bird nerd, the coolest object lesson in all of scripture. I won't go into details, because I'd probably run out of the platform's allowed characters for a comment on a post (lol), but if you want your mind blown, Google "how does thermal soaring work for eagles," "how far can an eagle fly by flapping its wings," and "how far can an eagle fly via thermal soaring in one day," and then read Isaiah 40:28-31, thinking of God as the wind and thermal columns and yourself as the eagle.

Brother! This couldn't have come at a better time. The other night I was lamenting to my husband how I didn't understand why God made my son with ADHD and myself with autism/ADHD. I was struggling really bad with parenting that particular day 😭 I think God orchestrated this episode, there's no other explanation. Thank you brother, you always say the right things at the right time

I have heard some very smart podcasters recently say that ADHD is like having a superpower. You can find something you’re interested in and obsess over it and need neither food or sleep. I think the best musicians possess this superpower and are just undiagnosed 😉. I trust God has a plan in it 🙏🏼
