A Heads Up!
Hey folks!
To keep things quick, I had an accident today. I was changing the filter of our AC in the attic and my foot slipped off the plywood walkway up there. Turns out there is -zero- support underneath all the insulation (beyond hidden support beams under insulation), so I fell partially through our ceiling and caught one of the support beams right in my side (it's all that kept me from going all the way through).
I'm not in a ton of pain depending on how I'm sitting/standing, but I'm really sore and wanted to let you all know I might be a little behind in my Richard update. My side looks super gnarly right now, but I'm not posting a picture of that, haha. Talked to a couple of doctor friends about some stuff to watch for, so we're monitoring how things look and fell before a trip to the ER (yay American Healthcare for this mindset!).
I will say to expect a delay, but... we'll see how I'm feeling!

**UPDATE**
I am gonna go ahead and say to expect things on the 20th instead of the 16th. My focus is struggling, but if I finish things sooner, I'll put it up sooner! It'll just eat a little into a housekeeping update, which isn't as huge of a deal.
Thanks for all the well wishes and such, folks! The pain's about the same as it was, but it's not getting worse (although my side looks a mess). Pain meds are working wonders on me to, so that's a plus!
Ceiling is also being repaired as I type this, so things will look good as new hopefully!
Again, thank you all for the support. Really makes me feel good!

I hope your pain goes away soon and I'm glad you are okay! Take as much time as you need and I would definitely recommend going to some kind medical clinic if you can just for a proper check up. Best wishes!

Just saw the update, happy the meds are working and pretty good you've been able to get someone out so quick to start ceiling repairs. But man just imagining the very deep bruise you'll have is making me wince, hurray for pain meds.

Glad you are doing ok. You probably bruised/broke a rib or two and it is going to take a couple of months for the pain to subside completely. Just try not to take a deep breath without taking several more shallow breaths first, taking a little more air each time. It will make the pain be much less.
Hope you are okay and your recover goes well. On a side note why can I see this situation happening to Richard and the MC helps make him feel better?

Yikes! Glad it's not worse but yeah look after yourself first and then worry about the VN update later. Unless you able to do ghost writing from the great beyond better look after your health. Looking forward to the whenever update.

Been there, Done that, I went all the way through, floor below stopped the fall. That was In my thinner years now it would be a large round peg in a small square hole type thingy. But gees Dude you're luck is a bit Iffy at the moment, Take care, Health first. story later we can wait. If you think you're in pain now wait for the repair bill for the ceiling.
I'm glad I have some extra cushion in my side to absorb the blow, bahaha. Here's hoping the repair bill doesn't just destroy me (or that the landlord feels responsible and covers it x3)

You may be allowed to not pay your medical bills if the hospital you go to has any charity or funds. Most people who make under a certain amount of income are eligible and information regarding this should be present on the hospitals website. You should have a look at see if that’s something offered near you, better safe than sorry! Good luck and swift recovery!!!
If I do end up in the hospital, I'll check into that! So far, I've not gone x3 Seems to be mostly bruised muscles, so... As long as things aren't getting worse!

It's certainly a fright when you don't expect something like that to happen! Daisy was below me, so she's the on that got scared, the poor thing.
