10 Year Anniversary
Beware: Long Post, haha!
I was waiting until I posted the Richard update before bringing this up, but this month marks the 10-year anniversary of when my Patreon page launched and I really buckled down to focus on Extracurricular Activities.
There's been so much that's happened in that time. Look at just how far things have come in that time!

These backgrounds I made using 3D models gave the game more of a horror feel than how things really turned out, right? I didn't know what else to do back then (other than use filtered images I found on google). I wanted to be more unique than that though. Now, I have Gavel's work, and he's done SO MANY backgrounds for me!

The art has come a long way since it started too. I had a handful of sprites and CGs in the first few years done by CursedMarked, but since Ger picked up the work in 2018, the amount of work added into the game exploded! 100s of CGs, countless sprites with outfit and facial changes and a bunch of other UI things have all been added. Crazy to see how much stuff has grown since I started... (By the way, be sure you check out CaptainGerBear's Patreon for his next game, Androcosm!)

Not to mention, getting a HUUUUGE chunk of the art assets updated in Renpy along with some amazing adjustment to how images are handled (anmong other things) through coding would never have been finished without Medwyn's persistence.
Over the course of the project, I've completed 6 of 7 routes, the completed ones each having 35 days apiece. 3 epilogues are done, and 1 bonus day is completed with more to come still.
I'm at right about to cross over into 2.3 million words total for the project too! To put that into perspective, the 5 Game of Thrones books out is about 1.7 million words, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is around 500,000. I'll probably finish around 2.5 million or so, if I had to guess... We'll see!
Hell, there's a whole bunch of merch out there for my guys too! Between my website, Fluff and Stuff, HUFF and PPP... There's stuff for everyone!
Needless to say, tons of work has been poured into the project over the years!

Without this Patreon page and the support you guys give me here, none of this would be possible. I don't think I'd have the same drive (or the energy) to keep doing what I'm doing otherwise.
I appreciate all of you. All that you do, all that you say. I appreciate the messaged I get from people telling me about how my work has impacted their lives. I've cried reading my messages before, some of them are so touching. It makes me happy to know that the project touches people's lives in ways I never thought possible.
Messages thanking me, messages saying my work brought them out of dark times, messages about my work inspiring people to write, make their own VN, even become artists (I can't really take credit for that though, bahaha!).
Even now, as I write this, I'm feeling overwhelmed with emotions to know just how much support I have out there.

Hey! I'm fairly new to the Patreon but I've been in love with this game for 5 years or so! I'm so happy I can finally support this amazing game and it's creators! I think this game is what made me realize that I'm a furry and made me not feel weird about it, made me see that that's ok and I shouldn't be ashamed or anything. That much that I made my boyfriend start playing the game and he loves it to! I can't say how much this game has been my confort game whenever I needed and the characters with their unique personalities always made me smile, well they still do :) . Holy, its been a good 5 years of me being with this story. And ive come to love all the characters. It took time to see and and enjoy then all. Darius being my favorite, I kinda didnt vibe with him and then his story made me like him way more than the others. I love EA, its amazing. I cant wait to see what's to come thank you for what you do dyne
Dyne your VN is absolutely amazing and was the first I ever played and supported. I started playing in 2018 and started supporting it in 2020 and it set the bar for me for VNs. I love the story and the characters. I want to see so much more with this game, but I know it cannot last forever. I look forward to many bonus days and character interactions in future content. Congrats on 10 years and to your future success in whatever you do after you finish ExcA. Your VNs are some of the very best and your work and passion are forever immortalized in these iconic VNs.
And to think in only the last 4 years of supporting your project I have seen quite a lot over that time period and seeing how some of the dynamics and designs have changed. Marvelous job here guys. I’m just wondering what other things could be on the horizon besides the completion of Dwayne’s and the epilogue for the rest of guys, and not to mention any other bonus days of “What if?” scenarios that could be brought. Also I’m curious of how you could streamline and perfect other prospects like the table in the Extras menu like what kind of things will you fill in the empty spaces for the other two guys.

10 years... WOW! I too recall the first years when I saw your project, back when the main talk was just Harold, Spencer and Chester's route. And now, so much more has happened since then. It has been an amazing trip so far, and I for one will be looking forward for whatever else the future may hold as well. Can't say how much I too was inspired and move by your projects as well. Heck, Harold route kinda help me get out of the closet to be honest. (And inspired my first sona base more than a bit too >////<) And that was only the beginning too! Through you got to discover other great creators, got to know you, wolfstar, Markthorne, and a lot of other amazing people! Not to mention I got motivated to start working on my own project as well, which today is slowly is taking its more steady steps. Can't think to say anything more than it was a pleasure and a wonderful experience to get to see this game's creation, read its story, and once more, will be looking forward for whatever will follow after. Each character I meet in Cresthaven is fascinating, in-depth, and I am genuinely invested in their stories and quirks. I have been inspired by your approach to writing and your characters, and likewise, I get to giggle, cry, and find peace when I see flashes of my loved ones in each of these silly Tennis Boys and Company X3. This VN is very special to me for a plethora of reasons, and leaves me feeling saucy, sappy, and everything in between. Well that was a trip down memory lane, nice to see all the progress over the years. Playing some of the earlier stuff like Monster Hunting... For Love to now with ExcA. Enjoy seeing the improvement to the different art visions and story telling, it's nice to see an artist/author express themselves in different ways while still holding onto their core view. Looking forward to see what the future brings once ExcA is finished, hope we get more stories within this world similar to the world you created for Engaging Destiny.

It's crazy to think that this game has been accompanying me since 8-7 years ago and I have been following it through that much x'3 it did get me emotional seeing the 10 years, the Spanish FVN community was really lacking around that time and I remember this game is the sole reason I learned English I would play the first "date" on Darius route with the Google translate on the side, I'm happy I was eventually able to support you because this VN changed a ton of aspects of my life <3

Thanks to ExcA, I found the courage and words to tell my friends and family that I am a gay furry. I swear that my experience of coming out to them was similar to Harold crying in the closet (and when you subsequently comfort him in his closet). I felt like my family would be horrified and I would lose all my friends. But thanks to this WONDERFUL game, my friends and family supported me in this part of my life. Ever since I played ExcA for the first time, I've been dreaming about Spencer, Darius, Coach, & Richard NON STOP. Thank you once again.

My first month subscription to this patreon was the summer of 2017! I was literally 21 years old just like the MC and by the time this game of finished I'll be Harolds age! Its crazy to think how long its been. Its always an amazing read with each update and I cant imagine what it will be like once these characters are no longer getting updated stories but im sure you'll think of something else to entertain us with Dyne. ;3 This game has been an amazing source of comfort and just recently has been the only thing I've been able to play while recovering from a recent injury. Literally while bed ridden I just played through Richards route again leading up to his finale! (Ill be fine in a month so no worries!) Thank you for an amazing 10 years of stories Dyne and even hopefully there are many more decades of your stories to come! Maybe even Extracurricular Activities 2!? 😏

The love and hard work you put out there is the vibe people picked up on. But the most important part, in my opinion, is the honesty you've shown when things haven't gone how you'd wanted them to. Just before yours, I had played only a couple of nsfw games. Putting it simply, these games were just another medium for me to release some steam with. But even after the first day playing extracurricular activities, I was baffled, thinking "oh wow, I'm actually caring about the characters and their relationships" It was the turning point that completely changed my view on these kinds of games, made me care about them, see them as what they are, another artistic way of expression, and for that I thank you mate!

Howdy Dyne, To be honest, we should be the ones saying thank you, cuz these 10 years have been a blast, and following that Project of yours became a special part of my life and a monthly event for sure. I remember the first day I read your VN, cuz a friend sent me a fanart of Harold and I went to check the source. It was love at first sight, and, well, I kinda couldn't try out other routes for a good while, cuz I didn't want to leave my Papa Bear alone - still went for it, with pain in my heart, but did haha I think I've read each route at least 5 times already, with Harold, Spencer and Darius around 12-15 times each, until the part you're working on at the time, and full now you finished the first 5 ones, cuz I just love to feel everything again and again, after waiting at least a few months of course, just to have the same blast one more time Well, I didn't support your Patreon at first, cuz, I didn't have a good sallary at the time, but soon as I got a better paycheck, I made sure to subscribe and have been with ya since then. I love your story, love the characters you made, the plottwists, the lovely moments, the sad parts, and also how you worked the changes in the script for every choice we make. You're a wonderful person, and a great writer/project diretor.
