Li Hua, a game concept artist working in Hong Kong, crosses paths with successful lawyer Liang Xuzhou while confronting her cheating ex. A string of chance encounters leads to a playful bet and growing attraction. Neither realizes they're also getting to know each other through an anonymous social app.

When a plagiarism scandal threatens Li Hua's career, the two grow closer, but an arranged blind date with Liang Xuzhou's cousin and a series of misunderstandings complicate their relationship. Eventually, Li Hua leaves for a job in Beijing. Liang Xuzhou, however, isn't ready to give up on her and follows her north, hoping to win her back.
