Chen Jiayin, a brilliant Peking University student, is focused on earning money and building her career when she unexpectedly discovers that she is pregnant. Determined to take responsibility for her situation, she seeks out the baby's father, only to discover that he is Zhou Jingmo, the wealthy heir to the powerful Zhou family. Jiayin expects to face the pregnancy alone, but Jingmo has other plans.

From making sure she does not overwork herself to standing up for her at formal events and following her back to her hometown with bags of gifts, Jingmo is determined to be part of her life.
