Xian Yu, the eighteenth-generation heir to the Xian family’s fried-dough-stick business, loves fried chicken and would much rather spend her life doing absolutely nothing. But she suddenly finds herself reborn shortly before superstar Jin Chuan’s supposed suicide caused by depression—a death that is somehow tied to her own fate.

Determined to break the curse that will kill her along with him, Xian Yu shamelessly sticks to Jin Chuan’s side and unexpectedly becomes his “desensitization partner.” What begins as a chaotic and hilarious attempt to stop him from taking his own life turns into something far more dangerous as their unusual cohabitation slowly exposes the truth: Jin Chuan’s “depression” may actually be hiding a series of attempted murders.
