Weekly progress report

Hello guys! Today we have the first public version of TCoR! V0.1.3 is out on this page (here) but also on Itch (here). Aside from that I got the 0.1.3 update while I was taking the screenshots and I started with the first events for v0.2.

Let's start with the 2D stuff, aside from adding Cata to the actual game there isn't much movement this week, I sent Erica to the artist last Friday so I think we should have the sketches in a couple days.

She's finally in the game!

So, I got 0.1.3 which is a very small update. Took me like 2 hours, it's just fixing some minor issues with 0.1.2 while taking screenshots, which is the most easy to spot progress for the week and the itch page. Because I need more eyes on the game!

So what I did for the game aside from adding Cata's sprite? A lot! I'm mostly done with the asset hunt and I started making the actual locations, not just the map but adding the objects. I have the script ready for the intro section and yesterday I started with the events of the game. Something that surprised me is that's really hard to find charred stuff, there is only burnt wood and coal, but I never found a low poly model of a burnt sofa or TV... So the burnt appartament looks a bit odd for now.

The plan for the building, bonus point some years ago I got run over by a car where I marked it in red. I don't think I have anything related to that but I felt like marking it

Since episode 2 of the game takes place in my city yesterday I got to go and take pictures of the house I'm using for refference to the main hub, I say house but is an old manor. Techincally it's 2 because my idea is to copy more or less one that's right on the spot I think it's better but that place is some history departament from the police, so I'm mixing it with the building that's right next to it since it's a cultural center which I can just wander in and take pictures without anyone looking a me weird. At least for now I got enough, but I also need to go to the national library and the "costanera center" which is going to be the dungeon of this episode.

Not going to lie, I'm excited to have the "costanera center" as a dungeon, because it's the tallest building in south america and it has a really popular mall inside, but it's built on a picunche graveyard. So it's a nice mix of old and new, but I should try to be a bit more sensitive because it's a really popular suicide spot, which helps to feed the legend.
