Great episode. Don’t know how I missed it. So many echoes to this day
Hello War Nerds. Thanks for these Hamas episodes. Would you consider unlocking them at all? Maybe a bit cheeky but I'd love to share them with a few people. There's almost nowhere to find anything like nuance on what and who Hamas is or how they evolved. I'm only really seeing context-free anti or pro Hamas rhetoric. So thanks again. These are fascinating.
It would be great to hear your thoughts on the ground invasion next episode, both current results and prospects
This is not to deny, necessarily, that Netanyahu may have genocidal intent and may have meant his reference to be taken as such
Wikipedia: "Groups identified with Amalek include the Romans, Nazis, Stalinists, ISIS, Palestinians, and bellicose Iranian leaders such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad."
Netanyahu did not quote that gory passage from the book of Samuel, Michael Tracey did – to spell out an inference. But a cursory look at old headlines from Ha'aretz suggests that "Amalek" has long been used as a stand in for any existential threat to Jews, which is rhetorically more in line with everything else Netanyahu has said to justify his campaign
Lol. I was in KEY Club in high school! I had no idea the intrigue I was caught up in.
Blinken needs to start trialing human powered flight off the top of the Washington Monument
App is being really strange, yesterday didn't want to download the pod, today I can't read the comments.
Yeah, same for me. About the only place I can get all features to work is on my desktop using Chrome.
Is there anywhere online to read Mark's bible review?
seconding this, couldn't find it after a quick search !
Ehud Barak is the guy who was caught visiting Epstein's house in 2016, sneaking up in the middle of the night with security guards everywhere and his coat pulled over his head, and Barak later said that he'd been to Epstein's place "more than 10 times, but less than 100."
Mark's review of the Bible is basically, "This is a book for Jews about Jews by Jews who hate Jews and want you to hate Jews, too."
self-hate is the highest form of self-flattery
