Good interview and Goldberg is clearly an intelligent and deeply humane person. But you still seem to be going along with the narrative that israel is acting of its own accord, is somehow independent in its madness. Modern israel was created by the US military/financial elites. The US recognised the potential of a nation sized terrorist unit in the ME. The holocaust industry and the bizarre supremacist ideology were hyped relentlessly and fed into Israeli pedagogy over three generations. Modern Israelis are cult members. They had no choice as the cult owned them from birth. US geostrategic policy has always relied on identifying and nourishing extremist groups who will do your terrorism for you. In the sixties and early seventies the US elites realised they had this perfect beachhead in oil central from where it could execute its imperial ambitions through destabilisation and terror. To perform the kind of terrorism necessary to its ends, a whole society had to be turned into a cult. Thus, Judaism was hijacked and transformed into mono-maniacal Zionism. It relies on indoctrination from birth and is relentless. That’s why you see what look like normal young people blithely carrying out acts of inhuman depravity. You don’t see this with normal people. They were all raised in a cult and this has been engineered by US elites for a long time. The zombies Goldberg refers to are frozen by cognitive dissonance. We are the good guys but we are all axe murderers. Trying to fit both these assertions into the one brain will turn you into a zombie. Until israeli society is de-programmed and people like Alan Dershowitz are hanging feet-first from a bridge, terrorism will continue to be Israel’s reason for existing. It was planned this way.

excellent. the conclusion was so useful but also grim, since how does one overcome zombification? Being dead/undead isn't a reversible condition, or so it seems.

Our story is the same as Israel's, it's just had a longer trajectory than Israel's short history. Our flagrant abuse of the concept of law, both domestically and internationally. The idea that America is some how exempt from applying and adhering to any sort of law. The idea that it's exceptional in nature that it can sow chaos the world over to maintain it's own supremacy and domination of the world. Our fate is the same as Israel's. And it will be necessary and it will be because of our own doing. But until this point comes, the concept of peace is a fantasy and impossible. But much like the nature of our system, it rings as hollow as US core values.

I found strange that he portrays Netanyahu as the bootlicker and Trump as the master when almost everyone outside Israel is sure the opposite is the case. Would have been good to hear more about how israelis feel towards USA and the AIPAC lobby. I thought they would be proud ("we have them in our pockets").

Of course Israel employs strategy and ensures strategic interests. Most of that is exterminating real or imagined enemies and placating the USA purse. And they've been very successful. Iran however remains a significant foe with a measure of Chinese and Russian support. So they'll content themselves with bomb cosplay - all the better to distract and somehow cover for the genocide (think 911/Iraq) - and ultimately move parts of their family to the USA, awaiting Armageddon.

I have the feeling we (the US) will bail out the Israeli economy (who knows maybe just give them all the social security funds). Unless/until there is some total recycling of the deep state, we will never let Israel collapse, bc it would probably seen as the collapse of empire

They had to know on some level this would encourage Iran to go nuclear. My guess is they WANT Iran to have the bomb. It will make Israel ever useful after it finishes its genocide.

This is why I just tell people that Israel does not exist, so therefore Israel’s right to exist is legally moot. (The criteria for a Westphalian nation-state’s “existing” is that it has relatively consistently defined borders within which it maintains something approaching a monopoly on legitimate violence, and the Westphalian nation-state of Israel does not fit this definition, ergo it does not exist.)

The zombie thing really comes through in quotes in the recent Haaretz piece about the GHF massacres. Soldiers speaking like they know what they're doing is wrong but it's happening in an alternate dimension or something. Definitely evil of some sort.

His description of the Israeli economy really does make it sound like the 51st state.

Very insightful, my big takeaway is indeed how much the US has started to resemble Israel itself. No more ‘left’, no more moralizing, no more thinking; just brute force and punishment all the time.
