Does anyone has any recommendations for books that deal with militia groups like the rsf. Doesn’t have to be in Sudan, can be non fiction or lit
Very illuminating episode really like this guest. RSFs problems remind me a lot of end stage Roman military: soldiers are loyal first to gold, second to their local commander, and not at all to the political project
