Detachable Gooseneck Lowboy Trailer - First Mod Beta release available for all Tiers
PLEASE READ: This is the initial beta release. Overall I've enjoyed making this however the tiedowns have been an absolute pain and needs a total rework. I would advise against using them for now as they currently don't work correctly. This is why they aren't included in any of the configs. However, they are still selectable. I've decided to move forward with the release as the tiedowns are the only thing that's holding it back. It was either move forward or indefinitely delay the release.
Things to add in the future include but are not limited to:
3 axles for the Jeep
Controls instruction plate on the Gooseneck
Branding (this is where you come in!)
Branded mudflaps (currently using vanilla place holders)
Oversize Load signage
Hazard lights
Working Tiedowns
Other refinements made through you're suggestions and feedback
Aside from any unforeseen hotfixes required, I'm going to take a short break from the Lowboy Specifically as I gather feedback from the community. This will allow me to start some other projects that I can't wait to show you. Your support is greatly appreciated, I wouldn't be able to do this without it. I look forward to bringing you more awesome mods. Soon I will be posting a poll to get feedback on the prioritization of what mods you want to see next. Stay tuned!

Just thought about something. Farming simulator has a great tie down system for all things trailer and load. Is there a way you can use their game files to guide you on a good system???
absolutely love the mod is there a possibility that cargo boxes could be added so the trailer could be used in the rls career mode? amazing mod!!!
mod still just says its broken or outdated and doesnt work for me
i cant get any of the controls to work when i spawn it in it just says outdated or broken
its a amazing mod, but its a bit resource heavy and does tank my FPS if there is something that could be fixed on it?
Any updates?
Reach out to FunPhysics he’s done well made tie-downs for his stuff, I’m guessing he’d be willing to give ya some pointers!
Phenomenal work so far, one suggestion I would add would be to include a heavy haul style of 5th wheel that oscillates side to side as well. I believe Tulga and Holland both make some of these. I'll also come out and say that a steerable rear dolly to turn this into a rackley steerable 9 axle would be a dream come true lol
love the lowboy so far one thing i would like to see is maybe a beavertail variant as it what i am used to if you would like i can get reference images from some of our trailers if you do decide to do such a thing also i did read the disc and know that features are not priority but i work 12h Aday 7days a week so don't have much time to make comments on anything but i am really enjoying this mod so want to say something before i forgot. cheers
This is what iv been looking for
maybe Im just a noob but I am curious what performance is like for everyone else with this, my pc normally runs beam around 100-150 FPS with some of these bigger mods but this trailer tanks it to like 5 FPS, just curious if its an issue i can fix or if im just out of luck for using this.
Certainly not normal but also points to being something on your end. I would maybe open the performance graph and see if you can spot any anomalies. With 12 vehicles already spawned, spawning the lowboy lowers my FPS by 2-3. Others are using it in career mode. Have you taken the basic troubleshooting steps? Clearing cache, disabling mods, verifying game files etc.?
Would be cool to use in carrier mode to haul trucks in the car jockey portion but it cant be modified in carrier garagre, Is that something you might enable in a later release?
This should be resolved in the next update
Been using this trailer for an while now and let me just say I love It. As someone who love heavy haul and low boy trailers this one take the crown can’t wait to see what the future holds
What truck is this anyone have a link?
Love it so far. Looking forward to the Tri-axle jeep. But was wondering if you also plan to include a rear dolly too.
i second this idea for an rear jeep
Wanted to join the conversation to say that I love the trailer. As others have said it's amazing to finally see heavy haul in Beam. I can't wait to see the 3 axel jeep and tie downs sorted. I agree that a middle length neck for the jeep would be nice. I have a few other suggestions that you can take or leave. I'd love to see some premade configs in the future (with and without the jeep pre-attached), decking on top of the wheels, and mudflaps on the jeep... Can't wait to see the Heavy- Heavy haul stuff what whatever else you have planned!
I'll be taking all of this into consideration brother thank you for the suggestions. All of them are reasonable additions I think should be added.
As a Komastu Technician that's around heavy haul a lot I'm glad to finally see it start to make its way to BeamNG.drive. I cannot wait to have a 12 axle setup.
Haha awesome to have the support of someone with your qualifications! Hmmm, for the next one I was thinking 5 rows of 4, also hydraulic deck widening? 🤔
I think the trailer has been really great so far and has been much needed for a long time. Would adding stronger airbags for the truck be an easy thing to add? Or something like a t-series heavy haul package. I’ve been using a tri axle setup and it would be very nice if only the airbags were strong enough to lift heavy loads.
As I plan on doing an even heavier duty trailer, I think adding an additional airbag suspension package would be beneficial. Ideally this would be compatible with the T-Series drivetrain expansion pack. I'll be looking into this for the future, thanks for reaffirming this!
I've been using it in career mode and so far it's absolutely awesome for hauling mining/quarry equipment. The additional jeep is a much MUCH needed addition to trailers, the extra articulation is practically a must for West Coast and Italy roads. Great job so far!
Thanks! I think I came across your facebook post on the BeamNG page. FP's tiedowns a certainly a difficult thing to match. As I'm doing them on my own it's going to take some time before they're as good, but I promise they'll get better. Hopefully in the future I'll win a spot next to FP with improvements to this and other upcoming trailers!
been waiting on a good trailer mod for years
There's more to come!
Ayo! I was one of the commenting on your Reddit post, and the only reason I am here now is because I saw some bloke on one of the "leaker" groups requested your lowboy... A55holes.. lol. Anyway, great work on your doings. Have not yet worked it myself but in a bit. Also, let me know if I can help / contrabute, if there are any 3D files / models you might need, I got you. There is no limit on what I have and can get you.
That was quick lol, unfortunate but I guess that's reality. Hopefully I can get enough support from others to make something of this. Learned this skill as a means to pivot and to possibly support myself and family. Sort of like Raceless did with RLS. Thanks for the support it's greatly appreciated. If I use another entities models I have to have the rights and appropriate licensing as they would be used in "commercial products." I really appreciate that though.
Would it be possible to get the clickable nodes for the gooseneck lock, attach and ramps placed on the drivers side of the trailer as well? Another suggestion/request, could the length of the jeep neck on the longer variation, be shortened a bit, maybe somewhere in the range of the middle of the two existing lengths? I noticed with the fifth wheel slid all the way forward on the T Series, there is quite the gap between the truck and the jeep axles. Aside from those things, I love the mod, works great and look forward to seeing where this project goes.
For sure I can put the triggers on both sides, no problem. I also thought a jeep somewhere in between the existing two is probably necessary. Relatively easy things to add so I'll include these in an update soon. Thanks for checking it out!
