Security Question Lens Compilation, and other updates
Before yesterday's lens clips disappeared, I decided to compile and upload the sequence.
I found a way to do it from my phone that's pretty fast, though if anyone knows an easy android app for video editing that will let me keep the original vertical orientation for these sorts of things lemme know!
In other news, after a week of electricians coming in and out my power no longer flickers constantly and I'm down only $1,200, which is good because the first guy I called quoted 2-3k. I was mostly able to work through the shorter bits of electrical work cuz batteries, and for the rest, I've been putting time into music.
I'm trying not to cheat on my current project too much, but of course I'm always excited about laying foundations for the next thing and getting it going in the back of my brain! And "Project Butterfly" is still ongoing too.
But this week it's back to focusing on the Emmy Noether script!
I'm still working with the "draft pile", something that's not quite what I consider a first draft (which would be a single linear piece of writing) but most of the raw material that would turn into a first draft, written and re-written scenes and topics that need to get ordered and have redundancies removed.
Sometimes when I start researching and writing on a topic, and find that actually I have pages and pages on all different topics, I realize that what I thought was one video is actually a series of many. But that's not the case for this video; making 5 separate videos would be much easier but I'm following a vision I hope to be able to pull off if I can get all the details exactly right.
I am a slow human, but hopefully in the mean time you're deriving some value from sad songs about a bee I once loved.
Oh man, I was so into bugs as a kid. I knew more facts about bugs as a 7-year-old than I know about anything anymore. My heart was captured and broken so easily by every tiniest bit of life. And despite extensive research on how to keep them alive in captivity, I eventually learned the only thing that really worked was to enjoy them when and where I found them and allow them to continue on their way.

Hey Vi - what are good source materials to read about Emmy Noether? I don't really know any physics but is there anything good I can read to better understand her work? (Until your video comes along that is!)? Bonus question - We'er having a daughter soon, and kicking around names, and I'm thinking of Emily (Emmy), partially because Emmy Noether is one of the greatest mathematicians... have any other good names? :)
For her physics work, this video is a great introduction: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxlHLqJ9I0A" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxlHLqJ9I0A</a> There's three biographies that exist of her, each at only around 100 pages, and all quite similar to each other. Two of them are out of print and hard/expensive to get. That leaves "Emmy Noether: Mother of Modern Algebra" by Tent. Emily is a good name! Noether's "Emmy" is short for Amalie, which is also a good name. One should always consider palindromic names too, like Anna, Hannah, Ava, Ada, and Eve.
I'm confused, I thought you were renting? If so what are you doing paying for infrastructure repairs, that's what landlords are for. Or is it that different in the USA?
All my security question answers are random sequences of letters, numbers, and punctuation marks because making them anything else seems to defeat the point of having a password. Also, why not make the video's pillarbox bars #FFFF00?
I was once asked by an operator what my hint for my security question was, I said 'see password manager' (because that's where I keep this stuff), and the operator promptly put me on hold to go find the password manager...
more sand bee plz
D major is my jam
Really enjoyed this round of lens clips, too - the bee story, etc. And I also have always used fake security Q&A .. it's the better way to be secure! Looking forward to the Emmy Noether video!!
e.b. white would approve.
Videos about the bee made me smile. We're here to support you doing your thing your way!
