Happy Pi Day 2024! New Video: Behold the Folded Circle Snack Discovery
There's something special about making fun of pi every Pi Day, and this wasn't going to be the year I stop the tradition.
It is, however, the year where I add aliens.
I do get a kick out of how long we've been doing this thing. Some of y'all have been here for the better part of a decade, and subscribers for much longer. Thank you for paying my rent.
I hope all of you are able to have the circle snack of your heart's desire in the near future!
Happy Pi Day :D

Stuffing the little cut-out ingredients in the folded cut-out taco shell? Classic Vi. Meanwhile, I am told only rookies eat a slice of pizza without folding it along the [angle bisector. -ed] What implications does this have?
An earlier draft did include a mini-rant about pizza! I'm from NY so I may be biased, but the theory of folded circle snack seem to objectively prove our folded circle pizza ways are correct and that NY pizza is a very good snack.
Did you discover or invent green alien triangles? You have convinced me that they are out there!
It just felt right, but thinking deeper on it it's probably because my formative memory of what aliens are supposed to look like is from playing the first Commander Keen in the early 90s. Aliens are green and have eye stalks and I refuse to shoot them, those are the facts embedded in my soul.
I always look forward to getting my circle snacks in the mail, even if they are digital. Thank you for keeping your tradition alive, I am happy to be a small part of making that possible.
What about rolled circle snacks?
A rolled, tubular circle is topologically different from a folded circle but functionally similar. They can be grouped together in the set of transformed planar circles broadening somewhat the horizon of the available circle snacks.
Thank you, that was delightful! \o/ 🌮 Hm, I can’t think of many examples of folded circles in the world outside of food. Where else could we use them?
Now there's a researchery line of thinking! Good question. So far I've got uh, bear traps and folding used stickers in half before throwing them out so they don't stick to the can.
