Great reaction. I joined because of this show. It has everything. Amazing character development, serious themes, outrageous scenes, and a sprinkling of comedic events. Reminds me of Six Feet Under.
Love the reaction, you're really getting what the show's putting down. The score is amazing. Cristobal Tapia de Veer also did the score for one of my favorite end of the world sci-fi shows Utopia (not the horrid US remake but the original BBC version). Looking forward to what's coming.
(15:20) "Somebody save that woman. WTF was that?" Have I ever told you that your reactions are ..... *chef's kiss* perfect? 😂
You always make my day 🫶🏻🫶🏻 I hope you’ve been well!
woo! loved the first 2 seasons. mike white is a truly unique creator. his little known 2000 film Chuck & Buck is a journey. not as familiar with his more commercial stuff beyond white lotus but this is not your usual luxury trip.
I’ve never heard of Chuck & Buck I’ll have to check it out! I really like the vibe being set up so far for sure!!
so excited for you to watch this! season 1 especially is a great satirical comedy and commentary on class and wealth and the social dynamics among the cast of characters which makes for a fun watch! season 2 might be my favorite though
I’ve heard great things about season 2!! I’m grateful that you’re here and I hope you and your family have been well!! Much love to you always 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Your facial expression during most of this episode was absolutely spot-on. I feel like you get it and you are going to enjoy the show. A lot of people get too tied up in the ethics of what's happening and you strike me as the kind of person who can appreciate the ugliness of the world for what it is, without immediately trying to fix it. Am I right?
I would agree! I feel like there’s so much more nuance to the world and characters than what they’re showing you upfront and putting in your face. Sometimes you have to pay attention to the things in between the lines as well!
He *would* have made a good Cyclops! Especially the movie one, who was a bit of a dick (I don't remember the animation one being so unpleasant).
Patreon recommended your channel and this is the first video I am watching. Very curious to see how you like it. Also, White Lotus is a hotel chain, so the different seasons can potentially take place in different venues 😉
Thank you so much for joining and for being here! Very grateful for you 🙏🏻
YAY!!
