LIFE THREADS: Social & Relationship Overhaul Mod (Introduction)

Life Threads is a social and relationship overhaul focused on making Sims feel more human, connected, and reactive to the people around them. I used Avatar as an example of human connections and belief systems.

The mod will explore things like:

• Deeper conversations and emotional topics

• More meaningful friendships and romantic relationships

• Memories and experiences that can influence future interactions

• A Belief System that affects the sims quality of life as well as their overall personality.
  

The goal of my mod is to have a system dynamic formed through a sims good & bad choices. Their choices will reflect their parents, their friendships, children, spouses. This mod will include Phone Call overhauls, Text Messages, Interactive Animations, etc!

Belief System

One of the core systems of Life Threads will be the Belief System.

A Sim's beliefs aren't simply traits attached to them at birth. They can be influenced by their upbringing, family, friendships, romantic relationships, experiences, memories, and choices throughout their life. Think about how eywa connects all living things and how riley's emotions create a system of beliefs.

In my mod, a sim will create their own string of beliefs based on actions, consequences and choices.

Their beliefs can influence:

• How they view relationships

• How they approach friendship

• How they handle conflict

• Their expectations of family

• Their parenting style

• Their romantic boundaries

• Their reactions to betrayal

• Their willingness to forgive

• How they respond to certain conversations

• The decisions they make

• The people they become close to

• Their emotional reactions to certain events

Eventually, this will create a stream of systems that pass down for generations and enhances the games potential of a family tree. These systems will connect and develop across generations, giving the family tree more meaning than simply showing who is related to whom.

The way one Sim lives their life can influence the Sims who come after them — creating a family history built from relationships, experiences, beliefs, choices, and consequences.
