Weekly Report 167 - No More Money
Hi guys,
How are you? I hope everybody is doing fine.
A week has past since the release of the seventh episode of the second season and I guess most of you have already played it. First of all thank you everybody for both the positive and negative reviews, it means a lot for me to know that people enjoy my work.
PROGRESS STATUS
This week I have started to work on the new eight episode and I can say that great things are coming up mainly on the main story. In this episode and the next one we finally reach the point of the story when MC decides it's time for a big change in his life. I'm not going to spoil too much the story, but the girls I'm focusing on this episode are: Charlotte, Tris, Beatrice, Katrina, Darlene and Denise will come back even if it's only for a few minutes.
RELEASE DATE
As you have noticed at the end of episode 7, the next update will come in June. The reason for this is the fact the story is getting bigger and bigger, so it's harder to finish a whole episode in one month, that's why I'm going to need 6 weeks to finish an update, which means episode 8 will come at the beginning of June, while the ninth episode will come in July. I'm sorry I can no longer do the monthly release and I hope you'll understand, but like I was saying the story is more complicated and an episode with only 250-300 renders like it was in the beginning will no longer work.
NEW MACHINE
Like I was saying both on patreon and discord, I was planning to buy a new machine for rendering. I'm happy to let you know that yesterday it arrived and I have started to set it up, so that means I'll be able to do better animations and renders, since I can use one machine to prepare the scenes and the other one to render them.

Don't worry about longer release times. I'd even rather have them and have a little more to play honestly. Getting something every month is nice and the quality is always top notch, but a little more at a time would be nice.
I second this wholeheartedly rmz! I totally agree. The worst thing about ALL of these updates, especially of the really great VNs like this one, is (surprise, surprise!) the point at which it ends and the sooner it ends, the worse it is...in my experience anyway. I don't mind waiting at all for the absolute best the Dev can deliver, knowing that he or she's had the time they feel they needed to get the finished article exactly the way they want it before letting it go. Waiting then becomes anticipation, a far more positive feeling and far more enjoyable, knowing that the wait is going to yield a solid, substantial piece of wonderment which you can really get immersed in and which really lets you feel like it's progressing the storyline instead of finding yourself just getting into the story and the enjoyment of the story when all of a sudden it's all over again for another month. My vote's with yours rmz. Please, Mr RoyalCandy, be sure to take all the time you feel you need in order to create and deliver your best effort, because it's gold dust and we thank you most sincerely for it.
