Weekly Report 116 - Rejected No More
Hello guys,
How are you today? I hope you're all fine.
PROGRESS STATUS
Last week we made quite some progress on the game. I finished writing the new content for the game and on top of that made big changes on the game architecture. Now the quests are better documented, the girl progress is way more easy to grasp.
I removed some grinding parts and made the game easier to play.
During this time Bishop was doing renders like crazy, for the new content and this week he should be done with them.
VISUAL NOVEL vs SANDBOX
Last week I told you about a possible surprise. Well it's here. If you remember I created a poll in which I let you decide which type of game you'd like to play. The winner was Sandbox, however the Visual Novel was very close, so given this, after talking a little with my partner we decided to please both of you.
In the poll the hybrid type of game had a mention that this would impact the content, however I found a way to not let this happen. The game is intended to be played as a sandbox, but for those of you who don't like this idea, I made a list of all the events in the game (more than 150) and connected them in a way that would make sense and would feel like a good long visual novel.
RELEASE DATE
This week we'll finish more or less everything and start testing the game, so the release of version 0.2 will be sometime next week. As soon as we fixed all the bugs that have been found we'll do the release for 40$ patrons and 5 days later for 5$, however we're trying to give you all the game this month.
RESULTS FOR THE NTR
I was surprised to see how many people voted, so in the future Justin might be able to introduce Adam to Christine (THIS IS OPTIONAL), however this is not a priority and will take a few good versions to reach that point. Most of the players don't like the idea so I'm not going to focus too much on this and I might not even add this at all, but I'm open to the idea. If however I will add him in Christine's life, then you'll have full control over it, but I can't promise there will be too much content, because he's not important to the main story. There will be just enough to be interesting, but not enough to ruin the development of the vanilla version of the game.
I hope everyone is happy with the changes, because from now on we'll focus on the story and the content. There will not be anymore changes in the story. +20$ will still be able to vote on the development of the game, but I will not change the main story.
Best regards,
Jason

At the expense of visual novel and sandbox, this would be a great idea, because many people prefer visual novel more than sandbox
