Weekly Report 308 - No More Money
Hi guys, how is everybody doing? I hope you all had an amazing week.
For me, this week was a complete mess. Without going too much into detail, after I finish preparing and rendering all the scenes, I usually do a full visual pass to fix any issues. This process normally takes a day or two. The problems are rarely serious and there usually aren’t many of them.
However, this update was a bit different. I had to redo quite a lot of renders rather than simply fix them. What should have taken one day ended up taking almost six, which meant I couldn’t focus on much else. The biggest issue was that redoing certain renders also meant re-rendering the animations tied to those events, since everything needs to work seamlessly together. And as you know, rendering animations takes a lot of time.
So even though I worked a lot this week, it’s simply not possible to release the episode next week as I had hoped. I haven’t even started rendering the new animations we created this week yet. Because of that, it will take a bit more time.
The current goal is to finish posing all remaining animations and start testing as soon as possible. Once the animations are fully rendered, integrating them into the game and making the build will only take a few hours.
