The dönmeh were not just hardocre shabbateians, shabbatai (or rather his main pr manager, nathan of gaza) in his time convinced nearly half of world jews to "convert" to his form of judaism & then when shabbatai was forced to convert in prison to islam many went with him due to this being spun as an attsmpt to reform islam into a force of good (the jewish ppl at the time didn't have a very high opinion of other religioms just like everyone else ofc). Once many of them realised they were duped there was also no way to deconvert as the price of apostasy is death when Islam is the state. So for most of them their "lying" was just a basic survival strategy which often failed leading to pogroms on them. Now whether some core rabbis of the movement believed in redemptipn through sin I do not know but for the majority they were literally victims of a mentally unwell "messiah". Frankism went similarly tho they were never muslim, but they did try to ally with dominican monks and the vatican to basically get themselves privilesges over other jews due to kabbalah being closer to christianity than rabbinical judaism. Unfortunately this eventually lead the dominicans to outright demand they just convert if they're so christian, which to the best of our knowledge was not Frank's idea, he genuinely thought he can scam theblocal jewish ppl & the church long term. Needless to say, deconverting from christianity in spain during the inquisition was also unviable af, landing more jewish ppl in the same trap as shabbatai did. Finally, ofc the donmeh'd be for abolishing the Sultanate as that was a way out of their centuries long captivity between still being jewish on some level but unable to officially be so lest they get executed. What you said about Wahabis is All true, and the document from Saddam just made my belief even stronger. There are alot of things I can go on about but the main Problem of the Islam at this moment is Sects in Islam, and my research led me to believe that yes the current Gov of Saudi is paid by USA, and they also have problems and are not the real representative of the Islam and it infuriates me. And Saddam"s allegation might have some truth, cause Salman being raised by jewish woman is something he himself admits. Lastly this is predicted by our Prophet Muhammad SAW that closer to END OF TIME the Politicians and Aalim ( equivalent of priest) will be the worst living beings.
