Mini Dumpling Clicker
Hey Crafters! This one wasn’t originally planned, but after some of you brought the viral dumpling craze to my attention, I knew this little squishy friend had to join the CritterCRAFT family.
It’s also a super fun one for experimenting with filament — translucent sparkle PLA makes it look extra cute and squishy. Add the basket lid for a blind box mystery effect and you've got an instant market hit!
Happy printing!
Model notes
UPDATE: Supports not longer generate inside the plus hole, making removal easier. After many requests, the basket lid was added and prints with no supports! Redownload the updated 3MF or STL files from the vault to see the changes.
Original and keychain versions included, each in multicolor and single-color plates in the 3mf file
Mostly no supports - Because of the mini size, the plus-shaped hole inside the dumpling needed a small support tower (reference the Bambu studio file for support settings). Most of mine pulled right off of the support post from the plate after cracking, making sure to only remove them vertically. You can always print the supports in a different filament type like PETG, then they will separate more cleanly.
Default slicer settings: 0.16 mm layer height , 15% infill, 3 walls
I used the Cherry MX-style keyboard switch found here: https://amzn.to/4e1o14C - Glue is recommended to keep parts together.
When using the STL folders, be sure to load all parts of the model at once as an object with multiple parts to ensure correct sizing ratio, then scale the model up to the desired size. I recommended referencing the preset scale size in the 3mf file even if you don't use Bambu Studio as your normal slicer.
Filaments Used

Charcoal PLA Matte - Bambu
Light Brown PLA Wood - Elegoo (For Steamer)

What other trends should I know about?

im having trouble with tops printing just makes a mess tried two differnt printers same result any help would be great
Hi! Love this print! The question I had was around the lid fitting. I’ve noticed when I put the lid on, I can never get it back off. It’s very tight. Any suggestions?
Hey Zach, you could try sizing it up a bit.
How do I download the lid file ( have never used this website befor)
Hi there, if you follow the download link above it is included in the folder.
Is thus file for sale by itself?
Hi there, no, just part of the membership.
Hi! Is there anyway to send you a photo? I printed these one time and they came out perfect and now every time they’re coming up messed up. I was wondering if you would be able to see if you could tell what’s wrong
Hey Haley, sure. Please send to crittercraftdesigns@gmail.com.
Awesome print and very popular. One request - could you add a small loop to the lid of the basket please so we can connect it to the base with a lobster-clasp phone charm cord.
Could you tell, which translucent sparkle filament you've been using? Trying to find a good one... Thanks!
It’s Toksen3D’s Transparent PLA!
The lid isnt printable without support. Dont do it, you'll end up wasting filaments.. 2 out of 6 went spagetti; so its deff. made into a gamble. Just use support.
Hi there, all of mine printed well without supports. Depending on your machine and filament this can vary, though I’m glad supports fixed it for you!
These are amazing!!!! We have started a dumpling hunt around our big neighborhood hiding these clickers! Such a hit ! Could I scale this up to print a larger clicker?
I love the dumpling hunt idea! Unfortunately, it can't scale unless you can find a printable clicker that you can scale with it.
I know I am not the best at this but where do I download the file from? I don't see a link or anything. Thanks.
Hi Bob, you'll need to use the link in the description which will take you to the Google Drive link. To have access to that post you'll need to be an active CritterCRAFT patron. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Sorry I see that answer in the post!
Hi! Can you make the loop bigger to fit a ball chain keychain? I have plenty of those but they dont fit through the hole. Thank you
Hi, these are adorable!! Would it be at all possible to have a version with just a plain dumpling, no face? Thank you!
Yes! The eyes, smile and blush can be deleted in Bambu Studio. I don’t believe there is anything behind them.
Very cute! Excited to print! does the space only fit that exact clicker, or are they universal? Sorry, I am new to the clicker world! Do you know a link where you can order more of them at a cheaper cost per unit?
Hey Kam! I can’t speak for all clickers, but it should be pretty universal. You can always size it up or down to fit your needs. I’ve only used the keyboard switches that I have linked in the description, and they work great. I can’t vouch for cheaper versions, but if anyone else has, sound off!
Would love the steamer top for this :)
Printed 6 of the multicolor ones and 5 of them ruined because I can't get the support from the post I've tried a ton of settings and nothing works
Hey Matt, because it is a small space, I had success with using tweezers. Some of mine even pulled right off of the support post from the plate after cracking, making sure to only remove them vertically. But if that doesn’t work, you can always print the supports in a different filament type like PETG. Then they will separate more cleanly.
Hi, I'm a newbie in 3d printing, can you guide me how to put a setting on all this? I'm using anycubic slicer next
Hi Titip, I recommend referencing the Bambu studio file(3MF) for the settings, even if you don’t use it as your main slicer.
Removing the supports is SO hard!! I've broken 3-4 already. It would be better if the switch clicked into the head, and the Cross pushed into the base, that would it wouldn't need any supports
You may need to try a different layer height or stronger filament. I am mostly able to pull mine off of the plate with the support sticking to the plate and coming right out. If the supports inside the hole are still there, you can use tweezers to wedge it out.
what size clicker is used
The link is in the description!
Would you be designing one with a lid?
I thought about it, but it would have to be much taller than the base to print with no supports so I decided it would look better with just the base.
When i searched creality for a matte pla lilac purple I don’t find one. Is there something comparable you can recommend?
Yeah, it looks discontinued. Bambu’s purple PLA matte would be fine too!
Any chance of a model in parts where we glue in the eyes?
I normally only release multicolor prints.
I could’ve sworn on your Facebook post. I saw a lid? Is there a lid for it? I didn’t see it on the files.
There’s not, unfortunately. I thought about it, but it would have to be much taller than the base to print with no supports.
Cute clicker! How do I merge the steamer and the keyhole? I'm sure it's user error, but everything I try fails.
Thank you! Are you using the STL‘s or the Bambu studio (3mf) file?
Hi - I am a flashforge user and when I try to open the file it keeps crashing. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not compatible?
Hi there, do you use Bambu Studio?
Can't wait to print this! Could you let me know your purge settings please so the black doesn't blend. I'm having a hard time with this (being a new printer) thank you so much.
No problem! All of my default settings are in the Bambu studio (3mf) file
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Of course!!
Hi. I am wondering do you sell just the file for the mini clickers for person use vs a monthly membership fee ?
Hi Brittany, unfortunately not. You could always cancel after joining if it’s just for personal use but there are new models like this all the time!
