Honest Government Advert - We Tortured Some Kids
Dear Patrons,
Thank you so much for supporting another Honest Government Advert.
This one is about a very serious issue: the abuse and torture of children in Australia's juvenile prisons and offshore refugee detention centres. It's disgusting and needs to stop.
After watching please take 30 seconds to support this Amnesty petition calling for the Strayan Government to ratify OPCAT (mentioned in the video): www.amnesty.org.au/opcat
I hope you enjoy the videos you are helping to fund and create. I cannot adequately express how grateful I am for your ongoing support.
Oh and, Patrons: feel free to suggest a topic for a future Honest Government Advert - I'd love to hear your thoughts for future videos!
(I know I previously said I would make more videos about non-Australian issues - but then this story broke and it really needed to be covered. I will be making sure the next one is about international issues).
See you for the next upload, next month!

How about doing an advert with the Afghan Eye podcast people?
I'll check it out!
As you asked for suggestions, CETA and TTIP (in secret negotiations for years now) is a hot and ongoing topic. Closed negotiations, privatization of courts, being able to sue governments, and them going on even against peoples will. Newest info I read today, that Canada apparently wants to guarantee no foreign investments in eastern european countries in order for our (Guropean/German?) government to keep silent about the background and goals of the treaty.
Yeah, it's good for me to know what kind of issues peeps are interested in hearing about. Thanks for the suggestion, Jan. Trade agreements is definitely a topic about which we should like to hear some honest government propaganda. It's on the list now. (Glad you liked this video!)
Great video again!
