Call for contributions!

Hello dear Patrons in our Advisory Group and above!

For a bit of fun, and because I know we have a wealth of knowledge (and pent up rage) between us, I thought I'd do a call out for contributions to our season 2 finale from our patrons and audience.

If you'd like to suggest a killer line for our retrospective on the past 3 years of shitfuckery - something you think sums up a key point about this government; or which you feel voters should remember before election day - let me know in the comments! (or via dm)

Wishing you all a peaceful easter weekend - the calm before the storm.

Giordano 🐰

I am going to say at the outset that i think we need psychology here not facts and graphs and figures as much as what i learned when i did a course on climate denial. Meet people where they are at which is what you do very well with your appeal to Australians of all political leanings just by discussing things that matter to them in their daily lives. i do think that what seems to be emerging is that Scomo is scared of YOUNG people.... hence calling the elections so late blah blah blah - and not giving anyone a good timeline to sign up the newly voting youth. Assholes. BUT that being said - climate, corruption and his cavalier attitude to true pain and suffering is so cringe and no one likes that shit - i do therefore think the Uke idea is worthy too - NO ONE will ever not associate that with the Liberal party for a long time BUT i will say there is an association between Scomo's religious background and doing nothing eg Thoughts and Prayers. So Climate T & P Aged Care T & P Covid T & P etc all the issues and returning to the thoughts and prayers mantra? Anyway i will admit to being really scared the fuckstains are going to get back in.

Theme: How much of tax payer money is given away to LNP mates? We could have all this money that they pay to mates as better hospitals, mental health, schools, roads, reneable energy, the environment and so much more. how much tax payers money is given away in grants many of them dubious how many grants go to companies that "donate" to the LNP Is this legal bribery and corruption? below and there is so much more that has happened since this list was updated. https://chaser.com.au/national/an-exhaustive-list-of-the-liberal-partys-corruption-over-the-last-7-years/ https://www.mdavis.xyz/govlist/ How many million to hillsong? https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/jul/21/liberal-party-donors-revenue-from-uncontested-contracts-for-offshore-processing-rises-to-15bn https://thebigsmoke.com.au/2020/10/09/morrisons-hillsong-mate-given-42m-in-grants/ The ABC show "Big Deal" made many good points that could be put into one of your excellent format videos

I love Tim's ukulele idea, perhaps singing the praises of efforts by the States to do something about Climate change and the opportunity for Morrison to claim credit for it whilst lining the pockets of his fossil fuel mates.

Veteran Suicide Royal Commission. Or one on Total Permanent Incapacity (TPI) Disability Pension Veterans having their pension cut by 25% after 45 weeks because they haven't killed themselves yet. Or Veteran Disabilty Service Dogs being funded by donations from the public, not DVA. Costing PTSD and disability Veteran recipients over $5,000 a year out of their already slashed pensions. Or DVA making Medicinal Cannabis for PTSD and chronic pain unavailable to veterans who have 3+ referrals from qualified medical practitioners, while acknowledging the efficacy of the medication. I have some ideas...

The greatest myth is that the liberal party are superior economic managers. And give credit my where credit is due, the Labor party corrects the economy for the short time they are in. The common world metrics, in the main, have shown this time and time again. Labor always aims to repair Education, Health and care to the vulnerable which includes the working poor. All evident in world metrics. The biggest thing that has happened over the past few years was the largest transfer of cash to the uber-wealthy and global multinationals. Who don’t seem to pay much tax, certainly not in Australia. It’s astounding !

H
Hamish Fawns · April 17, 2022

Exactly, when the Liberals are in they do nothing and the country declines. Then Labor comes in and corrects the course. Happened with Fraser then Hawke and after Howard came Rudd/Gillard. Now it's happened again with the current Liberals

C
Craig Memery · April 17, 2022

What about how literally two-faced Morrison is. As in, cover half of his face, then the other. Right side smiles while the left has a decidedly evil frown. You could frame it as his 'tell'... that's when you know he's lying/being hypocritical/acting against the public interest

49 years ago Professor John Bokris announced that Carbon Dioxide was being produced at a greater rate than it could be consumed and would make the climate change. The transport minister at the time, Peter Nixon, said Professor Bockris's proposal was not viable. "It's just not clearly possible to find the sorts of money that Professor Bockris would like for solar energy at this time," Mr Nixon told the ABC's AM program. "Professor Bockris is pushing his own barrow. "I doubt the feasibility of Australia to take the lead over countries such as the United States in the area of solar energy." John Bockris responded angrily, accusing the government of only being interested in talking to fossil fuel lobbyists, and taking a "supine attitude" to solar research. It would appear that the conservative side of politics has learnt very little in nearly fifty years. (Ref: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-04-13/professor-john-bockris-predicted-a-climate-and-energy-crisis-dec/100949208 ) !

Scott Morrison declares it a 'triumph' that rallies to change his Government's policies are not 'met with bullets'. How can we forget this insight into his character? Or, "the vaccine rollout is not a race" - because spin-doctoring his Government's constant failures to plan and lead is all that this marketing executive can offer.

Even in the Liberals' own back bench don't like them. One just needs to look at Cornetto Ferris-Beullers Wheel's spray against Scott Morrison's dubious and immoral preselection game. How many other times did he fuck with preselection [cut to Ferris' principal's computer saying 9 times]. This level of shitfuckery can only point to this government getting a permanent day off.

Any one ScoMo scandal, if done by a Labor government, would have had them crucified in the press for a decade. Instead, we've had one a fortnight for ten years.

t
thejuicemedia · April 16, 2022

Yeah - in this regards there's a very unfair bias against Labor in our media

R
Richard Barnes · April 16, 2022

How about the following from Antonio Guterres: "Climate activists are sometimes depicted as dangerous radicals. But, the truly dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing the production of fossil fuels". Which we could combine with the now famous image of the "burning pram lady", taken outside parliament house at an XR action in 2021 (Giordano, let me know if by any chance you don't know the image). And btw, that same courageous young women is currently in the slammer in NSW under that state's draconian anti-protestor laws, for an action last week which closed part of the Harbour Bridge.

In January 2020 when PCR tests were being rolled out I wrote to the SA Health Minister - Stephen Wade. I asked four pertinent questions re amplification or cycles plus I asked about the definition of "cases" needless to say I didn't get any answers to my questions. I received an acknowledgement that my letter/email had been received and it included the usual b/s from SA. I Health that was just the standard crap. I have the emails and can pass them on to you if you think it useful.

Oh my god, there's just so much material! Certainly worth looking at inaction, denial and non-delivery. Maybe a summary of everything they promised at the 2019 election and compare that to what was(n't) delivered? Maybe look at the trust issue - since Scummo is bleating 'can you trust Labor' ? There's also the contempt for women. Maybe a compilation of insults hurled at Scummo by the folk of Australia, guy yelling from fire truck, people not shaking his hand, boos at the footy, etc, etc Agghhhh, too many choices!!!
