Honest Government Ad | A Message from the White House
Dear Patrons
Here's our newest Honest Government Ad - created, as always, thanks to your support.
Today, we're taking on the masters of shitfuckery - the US Government.
I figure: we've built a powerful tool here with the Honest Government Ads. So why not put it to use by helping out our friends in the USA.
Coz the stakes could not be higher with this US election. In terms of climate action alone, this could well be the most important election of our lifetimes. Which is why I feel like this is where we should be focusing some of our attention.
Some might call it “foreign intergerence”, but hey… the US Government has interfered with just about everyone’s shit around the world – including ours, when they helped oust our Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam (1975). Besides, I’ve had so many Americans writing to us begging us to make an HGA about their Government. So I feel like we have an invitation to get stuck in to their shitfuckery.
I hope you like how it turned out.
If this HGA is well received, we might make more Honest Trump 2020 Ads between now and November. And yes, I will take your feedback on board, and make them more focused on specific issues. This HGA was meant to provide an overview, which hopefully it does.
Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback on the audio preview at the start of the week! I really, really appreciate it. Fun story: in response to your feedback, we slimmed down the final section about the various ways Trump is undermining the election process... But then last night, just as I was doing the final editing tweaks, Trump started tweeting about voter fraud and delaying the election (It's hard to keep up with that guy's shitfuckery). So I just had to add that part back in, including a reference to that tweet of his, which is less than 24 hours old.
We’ll be uploading the PG version on Monday (you'll find it on our PG/Teachers page).
And then I’ll be back with the podcast. Speaking of the podcast: over the coming months, I’d like to try and focus more on the videos – so the podcast may or may not come before the next HGA. In short, I’m just going to focus on producing as many good videos and podcasts as we can, in whatever order they come out.
So, I’ll see you again soon... with whatever I have to share with you!

This is, as always, amazing. And it seems like the CV19 material will keep coming for a while, even if we end up getting a vaccine. In USA, 35% people would reject to take a CV19 vaccine, even if FDA approved and free. This is hilariously split by political party at 19% democrat, 53% republican[1]. In Canada, this is 14%, although full 32% said they'd "likely wait a while"[2]. Perhaps there's more surveys out there, and maybe some more optimistic than this? But certainly, anti-vaxx might be a fun topic... and a quite contemporary one. Misses the mark a tad. Needs more video and audio clips from the US. Headlines and graphs etc lessen the impact and make it something of a lecture. I realise that won't be easy for you in Oz.

Every morning comes the almost mortal fear to turn on the radio or read a newspaper and learning what more havoc DJT has wreaked on us and the planet . Unfortunately, his modus operandi is being emulated too much by other leaders. So. please more about the absurdity here in USA.

This makes me so happy to read! Personally, I think Rap News played an important role in those key years of 2009-14. But now I definitely think the HGA approach is better suited to what's going on, and I too think it's much better!
Good work and necessary as always but I would hate to loose the focus on the shitfuckery going on here at home. Our government continues to rape and pillage and leave bush fire victims out in the cold and we have to keep them pressure on.
I know what you mean John. I don't see it as losing focus because US politics are intimately connected to ours and the outcome of this election will shape our domestic politics too.. especially our climate policies which as you know are behind the pain bushire victims have experienced. So I think of it more as taking an international approach! And don't worry - if something urgent comes up here at home, we'll be sure to jump on it - I've already started drafting a couple scripts for the Australien Government

Trump is inaccurate and fraudulent. Great work. I hope it is well received so you make more. This election is extremely important to the world, so, to me, that clears the slate for any perceived foreign interference on Juice medias part, the more hands on deck to oust Trump the better.

Mercifully his consignment of any one of them to death by coronavirus has brought many to their senses, so that they might dump him at the polls. We can but hope.
