[PREVIEW] Julian Assange - Honest Government Ad
Dear Patrons, here's the preview of our next Honest Government Ad.
I was half-way through writing our Election Announcement HGA, when news broke of Julian Assange's arrest. Predictably this was quickly followed by tons of bullshit in the form of commentators mis-characterising him as a hacker rather than journalist and cheering his arrest simply because they dislike Assange. One major problem I have with that: this isn't about Assange - it's about a direct attack on the free press.
That's why I decided to put our election coverage on pause for the weekend and produce a super-fast-response HGA.
It also gave us an excuse to attempt an HGA first by having, not one, not two, but FOUR Government voices in one video! Hashtag mayhem. I hope you enjoy it.
I'll be editing my arse off today to get this out by Monday. (Let us know if you have a good suggestion for the "Authorised by" message!)

I think it's funny that while the whiney creep was waiting for the Swedish charges to fade out, we ran in to the #metoo era. He'll find it a lot harder to laugh it off now. As much as I dislike him, whistleblowers should be protected. I really can't call him a journalist. His attempts at analysis aren't worth shit. He just tattles. A lot. Indiscriminately. But still. FU USA. #eattherich
