[PREVIEW] Visit Timor-Leste!
Dear Patrons - here's an audio preview of our next Honest Government Ad!
It's called Visit Timor-Leste - but really it's more about Australia and Australia's foreign policy towards our poorer neighbours in the region.
I'm really excited about this one; I love the "Visit" HGAs, even if they are much harder to write - and this one was especially so because damn, it's such a crazy convoluted story. In fact unless you're already familiar with the issues mentioned, you might struggle to follow the audio without the visuals - but don't worry, it will all be clearer in the final video!
Anyway, enough rambling... I need to get back to editing so I can drop this HGA on Monday morning - which is also the day of the next hearing of Witness K's trial. (Coincidence??!)
As always, your feedback is greatly valued - you're the first peeps to hear my vids before they're released into the wild!
Have a great weekend and catch you on Monday / in the comments

Great work as usual. Very easy to follow even without the visuals.
That's great to know, thanks John
HGA you just improve with age. Thanks very much.
Thank you John, for the extra support!
Wow. Nicely done. I am really looking forward to the visuals. (I'm impressed with the volume of corruption you managed to squeeze into 150 seconds. It takes governments years to generate that much corruption :-)
The Greens and crossbenchers are pushing for a Federal ICAC (Independent Commission Against Corruption): <a href="https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-25/federal-anti-corruption-body-could-test-coalition-control/10430746" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-25/federal-anti-corruption-body-could-test-coalition-control/10430746</a>
Another brilliant HGA. Can't wait for all the visuals.
Cheers Ragnarok! This one took me ages to edit - the visuals play a really important function in terms of telling the story, so I spent a lot of time trying to get it right :)
This one sounds fucking brilliant! Haha.
And to clarify what I meant by brilliant, I mean how you've destroyed our amazing leaders, not the current plight of the Timor people.
Another great piece of work. The only little detail that didn't work for me in this audio was the use of "fucking" the first time there was a reference to stabbing them in the back, which said: "stabbing them in the fucking back". I always love the f-bombs in all its variations, but this one I think somehow is a bit of a distraction from the full expression "stabbing them in the back". I think this line/expression is clearer and even more forceful if you remove the "fucking". I've never found the use the f-bombs gratuitous (they always add force and/or fun to the script), but somehow this one doesn't work for me. Just a comment. I look forward to the release of the video. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Benito! (Re the "fucking", it's a bit late for me to change that now, but I appreciate the feedback. Usually, my use of f-bombs is quite judicious - I'll have to check my settings!)
This is mental
In a good way I hope! :P
