Here's the full version of our latest Honest Government Ad in super-dooper 4k widescreen format. Aka, the good old YouTube version: Honest Government Ad | The Great F*ckoffening

This version includes a new line for Brazil, where people showed that with good organising we can defend democracy from the Broligarchs and the Terracotta Gonad.

It's been awesome seeing so many people in the comments responding to the positive energy of this HGA. I really wanted it to be a celebration of the spirit of youth-led protest that's sweeping the world. It's been SO inspiring seeing what students have done in Serbia.

The HGA did very well on Instagram and FB, where's it's had 4.2M views since Sunday. It's also up on Tiktok, Bluesky and Twitter, bringing the total combined views to ~5M views.

Not bad for a video published 3 days ago!

Ok, now that we have the admin out of the way, I just wanted to say that I really love making HGAs that connect events happening across the world. We all have Governments™ (the franchise). So the HGA format seems perfectly equipped to join the dots between seemingly separate struggles and show how we are divided by nations but "united by the Shitfuckery".

Increasingly, I see fostering an inter-, or rather, extra-national consciousness as being integral to humanity pulling through over the course of the next decade. Because we're only going to make it if we all work together, against a common enemy which is becoming ever clearer as we approach the corollary of the billionaire's techno-feudalism, fossil-fuels and imperialism.

In some ways I feel like this series has been evolving and working towards this point for the past decade, slowly building trust with a large audience, and it feels like we've arrived here just in time to be able to play an important role in what I'm calling "The Great Fuckoffening".

From India and Bangladesh to France and Italy, it is incredibly inspiring to see what's being accomplished worldwide by young people (often unfairly maligned as "detached"). In Serbia, they got on the ballot and they kicked out the Shit Party at yesterday's election!

It's a reminder for all of us that protests work; indeed, they're the only thing that ever has worked. Which is why they are trying to so hard to ban them. And that's the call to action for this HGA (apart from joining the Great Fuckoffening) is to sign the Declaration of Our Right to Protest, hosted by the Australian Democracy Network. Please share it with your friends & fam.

And if you are able to, support the Great Fuckoffening in your own way - whether that's joining the peaceful protests, or baking some nuitritious biscuits for the kids out there.

As always, we could never make these kinds of HGAs without the support of all of you, our Patrons. I spent almost a month researching and writing this HGA, and the only reason I can dedicate that amount of time to a video, is that I don't have to spend half my time doing other work.
