Juice Media Rewards + Update
Dear Patrons
I've been a bit quiet in January so I thought I'd drop in to let you know where I'm at. (This is a slightly longer post than usual, but I’ll try to make it worth your while getting to the end of it!)
Firstly, as you can see from the photo above, I've finally gotten round to organising some dope rewards for Patrons.
Yup we’re getting some Genuine Satire stickers; official Australien Government tee-shirts (the surprise reward for $50+ Patrons!); and at some stage I’m also hoping to introduce mugs (along with hugs!) for the $10 reward category. I don’t have a specific date for when I’ll be sending these out as I still need to work out the best distributor to get all these items out to you. But you've all been very patient, so I just wanted you to know we ARE close to finally having some nifty rewards for Patrons.
Next, and on a more personal note:
I am currently writing this post from Cape Town (South Africa). I came here with Lucy and our little Luca to see my mother - who sadly is vanishing from Alzheimer’s.
It’s an emotional time, having come to the realisation that this will be my last goodbye between my dear mother and I. She will no longer recognise me the next time I see her. So I am making the most of every single day I am here; being with her, listening to what she is still capable of telling me; soaking up her smile; and giving her a chance to enjoy and play with her grandson, who she will never get to see grow up.
(It’s hard for me to write this without tears in my eyes: Please, treasure the good moments you have with your parents)
As we are far from home, I hope you’ll understand why our January video will come out in February – once we're back in Australia.
This does *not* mean your pledge for January will be wasted. As those who have been supporting us for a while will know: even if we don’t make a video every month, we'll still make at least 1 video per month on average over the course of the year, ie: a minimum of 12 videos per year (in 2017 we actually made 14!). This system allows me to be flexible in times such as these.
So it won't be long till our next video.
I can't wait to get back to mercilessly trolling Governments and, with your support, taking this project to even greater heights in 2018.

When she was still well, Mum told me she was proud of the work I’m doing with the Juice Media. So I know she would be thankful to all of you for allowing me to continue this work, and to uphold the honourable tradition of exposing bullshit, today - a task to which I plan to dedicate myself wholly in the years to come.

First up- all the best to you and your family. They definitely come first (as Jeremy above me said) Second (and no rush for an answer): will the t-shirts (and other merch, I guess) be available at some stage to purchase for people other than the $50 tier?
1. Thanks so much 🙏 2. Absolutely! In fact, I would like to make merch available *exclusively* to Patrons, rather than general public, as an additional reward to folks supporting us. But I have to work out a way of doing this - if its even possible!
No worries. Take as much time with your mum as you're able. There will be plenty of time to troll the government later. Family should always come first.

Thanks for all your work man, and stay strong. Much love to you and your mom. Also take your time, your videos may not be as plenty, but they are of excellent quality and punch well beyond their weight (Even to piss off the government LMAO).

Than you Sallita, I couldn't agree with you more about the power of names - having just had to go through the process of naming our own baby. As a child I used to hate my name (and my parents, for giving it to me!); but when I grew a bit older and learned about that badass monk, I became quite proud of it - and grateful to my mother for choosing it.

I'm glad you can spend time with your mum. And definitely, do that rather than fretting about us, we'll still be here. I hope you'll be selling those shirts to the rest of us too, my "unusual suspicious person" shirt is starting to get a bit tatty, and my "I deny the allegations and want to question the alligators" shirt is now in the rag bag (sadly I can't reference that quote, it was gold).
Thanks for the feedback Moz - I'd love to make the tee-shirts available exclusively to Patrons (I'm not so interested in having an online store at this stage... but at the very least I'd love to find a way to make them available to Patrons!) Anyway.. we'll see!
