So this happened...
So today I received a very polite email from the *actual* Australian Government (The Dept of the Prime Minister, no less). Kid you not, here's an excerpt:
"It has been brought to our attention that The Juice Media has used an Australian Government logo, and a symbol similar to the logo on the website www.thejuicemedia.com. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet has received complaints from members of the public raising concerns that the content on this website may be mistaken for Australian Government material ... It would be appreciated if you would ensure that The Juice Media productions do not use the Australian Government logo to avoid The Juice Media productions being mistaken for Australian Government material"
My immediate thought is: What does it say about our Governments if people can't distinguish satire from actual Government ads and policies?! 🤔🙄
But fair enough... on reflection I agree, we can't have people getting all confused by satire! So from now on we'll be using a new logo in our Honest Government Ads which, to avoid any doubt, features the motto: "Not The Real Logo".
I wanted to share this with all you legends coz, apart from being bizarre and ridiculous, it also shows that the Government is aware of our Honest Government Ads.

Ha ha that's hilarious. I think TV is rotting peoples' brains, satire is becoming a lost art. Too subtle for some!!

Thanks for the encouragement, that's the kinda stuff that keeps me going :) And wow that's a great suggestion re the alien... I suppose I went with this one coz it's the most recognisable symbol for an alien. Have you got a link to a more reptilian-looking symbol?

Funny story: we had already designed this new logo knowing sooner or later the Govt would complain... but we didn't know what to write as a motto in the scroll. The email we received made it easy to decide 😂
