Thank you again for all your feedback on the audio preview which I shared with all of you earlier in the week. And thanks for all your suggestions for the Authorised By message - we ended up using one of them (Shawn's) for this one!
As mentioned, this episode is part of our ongoing coverage of government secrecy, in which we look at whistleblower protection laws, trust, transparency and other things our government promised to fix whilst in opposition but yeah-nah.
Methinks we'll have to make one about the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) by the looks of things. Are there other transparency issues you'd like us to cover before the election?
In the coming episodes we'll also be taking a look at the unholy shitshow that is the US election (wish us luck). Before we start to focus on the next Australian election in early 2025.

Left out the ONI Climate Security report from Sept 2022 that only the national security committee of cabinet has seen and read. They refuse to release even a redacted version.

Another example of Yeah-Nah would be 'In 2005 the Hon Anthony Albanese MP tabled a proposed climate trigger in his bill “Avoiding Dangerous Climate Change (Climate Change Trigger) Bill 2005”.' They are avoiding this now and are going all out for a Gas Led Recovery, at the behest of the fossil fuel industry, which will be our (and the environment's) Gas Led Demise.

Seriously disappointed in Labor...is it any wonder they're doing their best to undermine the Teal Independents...and NSW Labor is turning out to be even worse...a Iemma Government replay.
the big problem with labour parties is that they generally represent the elite as much as conservative parties. See the UK for this case (but Italy, too, in recent history). They have become strictly center parties (even center-right, on some topics). So there is no point in hoping they will advance left-wing policies. They just participate in a struggle between oligarchies.
