STRAIT VS. STRAIGHT. WORD CHANGES.
The 1611 Fellowship discusses word and spelling changes in modern Bibles that affect meaning and doctrine. Does "strait gate" mean the same as "straight gate?" Hillis, a navy man, explains the difference navigationally. For examples read my study notes below.
ROMANS V COMPARING BIBLES (Reg’s notes)
FAKE BIBLES
I want to take few minutes to go over a few things from the lesson two weeks ago, and also from the lesson last week. There are some things that I think need further clarification.
(Thank-you Roy from my Patreon channel.)I have been impelled me to do a word study comparing "strait" and "straight" as used in the 1611 AKJB. It appears that every time "strait" is used, it refers to a dire, critical or distressed situation. While "straight" is used to mean not crooked, rather direct. For example Matt 3:3 uses the word "straight" to clearly mean not crooked. While Matt 7:13, "strait gate," is meant to convey a different meaning, as per Webster's definition. Other examples of "strait" in the 1611 are 1 Chronicles 21:13 and 1 Samuel 13:6 where it is obvious that the word is used to mean "a situation of distress." Thus, I have to conclude that "strait gate" in Matt 7:13 should be taken correctly to mean: distress, need and difficulty. Furthermore, many modern Bibles remove the word "strait," substituting "narrow." I encourage everyone to do a word study of: strait, straitly, straight, and straightway. I'm convinced most of us have been mistaken regarding the correct understanding of "strait gate," as per Matt 7:13.
NOTE: Referencing Great Apostasy Part 2 “strait” in the context of dire straits: stressed, down to the wire, desperate times etc. Contrasting Matt 3:3 “straight” not crooked; 1 Chronicles 21:13 “I am in a great strait:” distressed as per 1 Samuel 13:6. Matt 7:13 “strait gate.” Many modern Bibles remove the word strait, substituting narrow. I encourage everyone to do a word study of: strait, straitly, straight, straightway

so this may be where the phrase "[we are] in dire-straits", comes from 🤔
thinking about sonnes, and sunnes, here Leviticus 8:30 And Moses tooke of the anoynting oyle, and of the blood which was vpon the Altar, and sprinckled it vpon Aaron, and vpon his garments, and vpon his sonnes, and vpon his sunnes garments with him: and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sonnes, and his sonnes garments with him.
Malachi 4:2
i really wish i could just teleport to France, and give them bibles right now
Job 12:23 "He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: hee inlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them againe." finally. but i can read no longer, i have migraine
Psalms 51:10 is one of my favorites! This, every day .... I ask God to create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit.... every day.
Amen! Me too!!!!
I had to look up NOG - never heard of that. Good grief: an English Bible translation that restores original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek divine names and titles rather than replacing them with generic words like "God," "Lord," or "LORD" (generic now)
Thanks once again for these
Isa VIII/8:11-22 - this here, it hit me so heavily in a good way today, and i also thinking about how we are a little church, and read this bible, and others do not
also has anyone ever looked at wizard, wizzard and wyzard
the amount of people who go-around or tell me that they/we are going to share in the glory of God is, too-high. especially based on ratio because i don't go-about often. thinking of Job 36 too (15,16)
1 Corinthians 15:40-41 Luke 12:30
i remember escaping my house with almost no clothes, i was ready. it was now or never, this i told God too. God was always ready. the symmetry is something to think about. the verses about bringing nothing in, and bringing nothing out, come to mind. hardest thing of my life 😢 but the grace of God was [is] everywhere. I'm forever thinking of book of Job. would not do it again. but would do it again (lol).
I'm studying Job now... incredible
Wow. All I did was look it up in Webster's but you brought it home Reg. I think we got it. Personally, my moment of asking Jesus to take over my heart/mind, change me, and direct my life came at the most "dire strait" of my life. i am without excuse if I ever leave Him because He has done everything and more that I asked of Him at that moment . . by myself with Him alone (not with arms flailing for all to see at at an altar call).
Once again, thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction.
Great Scripturally correct points covered, as well as Scriptural corruptions! Thank you Reg.
You are welcome.
