Hillis's Notes on "Void"

Here are Hillis's notes for the word "void." I trust they will benefit you all in your studies.

• "voyd" = 13× in The Holy Bible 1611

   1st: Genesis 1:2 - specifically earth @ the beginning of its creation (NO LIGHT, nothing).

   Last: 1 Corinthians 9:15 - Paul saying that death (for him) is better/preferred over ANY man making "my glorying voyd." Because the ONLY thing Paul lived for was the Gospel, it was better for him to die than that any man cause the Gospel to become "voyd" = NO LIGHT/nothing!

• "voyde" = 1× in Psalmes 119:126 - speaks specifically of the root principle @ work in apostates & the false church lead by FALSE Christs - they cast aside the word of God for their own brand which has NO LIGHT (not approved by God, nor acceptable to God) = voyde.

• "voide" = 6× in The Holy Bible 1611

   1st: Deuteronomy 32:28 - speaks of nations that reject God & His Law/Word (like Sodom etc).

   Last: Romans 4:14 - speaks of the righteous path of God's Law leading to the necessity of fulfillment in the faith OF Christ. Without the fulfillment, all who are counting on being an "heir" of the law are voide.

• "void" = 10× in The Holy Bible 1611

   1st: Prouerbes 7:7 - specifically "discerned among the youths, a yong man void of vnderstanding" as in no godly witness present w/in the INDIVIDUAL.

   Last: Romans 3:31 - rhetorical question that emphasizes God's Law is established through faith & NOT void! [Personal opinion] Many "churches" (cults really) have this diametrically wrong!
