GOD'S WISDOM VS. MAN'S.
The 1611 Fellowship discusses 1 Corinthians 2, concerning that which is spiritually discerned compared to that which is carnally discerned. Is the Bible to be understood literally, only? What of esteemed intellectuals like evolutionist Richard Dawkins who denies God? Are the deeper things of scripture open to him and others like him? What is the role of the Holy Spirit in teaching believers and making them wise? What impresses the carnal mind and what impresses the spiritual mind? These are just a few things that come up during the course of our conversation.

"Richard Dawkins and others like him" - word salad guy I call him: Jordan Peterson. People just love him! but he is just talking talking talking and I do not find him impressive at all. If people truly listened to him with discernment they'd realize he was saying nothing meaningful at all. Vanity vanity.
"literally literal" perfect way to put that; I like it. That's carnal
Hi Roy, What you say is true. The indwelling of the Holy Ghost cleans house, so to speak. Also, one learns to pay attention to the money trail ("sequere pecuniam") & to whom is it a benefit? ("cui bono?").
The more you know of the Lord . . the more you see the corruption of all of your prior understanding. I feel the same humility and humiliation as Paul when I look back at what I thought I knew before I truly knew Him. Colossians 2:8 beware "philosophy and vain deceit"
today i was reading 1 Timothy, about elders, and youngers, and widows, and wives, and drinking wine, and the two or three witnesses, and how these things seemed to be spiritual states/activities, and i dont think that came from me. my face just like ":o" the entire time
I will have to see how those play out.
