Jesus came to SHOW us he is God, not simply declare himself God. Healing the sick showed he is God. Silencing the devils showed he is God because they obey his authority. Anyone can say "I am God." Jesus showed it immediately -- by having the woman immediately minister and sending the leper to the priest -- so there could be no question what the people had witnessed.

Psalm 63 (From the original 1611 King James Version) A Psalme of Dauid, when hee was in the wildernesse of Iudah. 1 O God, thou art my God, earely will I seeke thee: my soule thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee, in a drie and thirstie lande, where no water is: 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I haue seene thee in the Sanctuary. 3 Because thy louing kindnes is better then life: my lips shal praise thee. 4 Thus will I blesse thee, while I liue: I will lift vp my handes in thy Name. 5 My soule shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatnesse: and my mouth shall praise thee with ioyfull lips: 6 When I remember thee vpon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. 7 Because thou hast bene my helpe; therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I reioyce. 8 My soule followeth hard after thee: thy right hand vpholdeth me. 9 But those that seeke my soule to destroy it, shall goe into the lower parts of the earth. 10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. 11 But the King shal reioyce in God; euery one that sweareth by him shall glorie: but the mouth of them that speake lies, shall be stopped. I really have often wanted to see the face of God and I often feel lost in life, so this Psalm means a lot to me. It directs our gaze higher than anything on earth and shows us that only by believing in Jesus Christ, whose narrow comes from unbroken bones, can we receive the riches in which God dwells. The fatness that comes from the true meat of prophecies throughout the Bible are a way in which we can find true joy in lack of confusion. The bed as far as I can remember symbolizes the faith in which we take it up and walk. It is a great feeling when we appreciate the gift of upright life that God provides for us as we receive his salvation. And even during the night, in which we cannot literally see God or his miracles, but continue to place our trust in him, can we do things in remembrance of himself, like remembering the ministry and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and all of his words. The things we do in remembrance of him give us comfort, as the author of his memory is the Comforter Himself. Jesus Christ tells us to follow his commandments, which are to love God with all our heart and mind as well as love one another as we love ourselves. John also adds to believe in Jesus Christ. We certainly have a lot to do in that department, but these ways are not grievous. We can certainly rejoice in the help of Jesus Christ in this regard, since at the right hand of the Father he upholds us. All of our enemies, even all of the way in which we trespassed against God and each other, will be vanquished from the battles in which we fight, as Paul commands to fight the good fight. All sin shall fall by the sword, which is the Gospel and words of Jesus Christ, as seen in Revelation. I do wonder about what foxes mean here, but they have a reputation for being sneaky. At any rate, anyone who tries to sneak past Jesus Christ, their mouths shall be stopped. At any rate, these were my thoughts as I considered the words of this Psalm.

So true Thomas. God enables us beyond our natural abilities. In a relativistic society it is difficult to speak of truth because they don't believe it exists.

I can definitely sympathize with a lot of what was going on in the conversation as a result of my own health challenges, but what moved me was that the woman immediately ministered to Jesus. It reminds me of his commandment to feed him, meaning his Body. It is encouragement for me to increase my amount of communication about what I know about the Truth and to do more in that respect even when it seems hard. The people around me don’t always make it easy, but I am determined to do better. When the discussion about leprosy came, I started to think about how God gives us the ability to trample snakes and scorpions and not die of poison. That might not directly relate, but it just came to me. God has the ability to declare anything clean, and we have the ability to play our role as members of his Body in carrying out his mission to cleanse the world of sin by his word. Since ailments are often associated with sin, Jesus is also saying that sin cannot overpower his mission to save. It is a declaration to the man sick with sin to come to him and be healed by his stripes, as Isaiah says.
