CotR - UBE mouth [LM] - CS Advanced Skin support

Info:

  • 4K / BC7

  • contains meshes and textures

  • textures made with the bake from Victoria 8.1 mouth HD that I bought the licenses of

  • has cavities and fine details (has no other retex as far as I know)

  • UBE and CotR share textures, so I unified the mesh shaders and values for better compatibility

  • publish both overhauls in one, because imo, you can't do it any other way, or else you will cause issues for one of them

  • CotR uses facetint now like UBE mouth

  • I provide Advanced Skin textures that automatically get utilized by CS Jiaye's AIO Advanced Skin

  • uses a teeth shade range that the majority of the world has, which would be an "A2-A3.5", but the texture needs to be darkened down, or else Skyrim won't render it nicely

  • the textures are kept pretty dark, because they start to glow pretty fast and they will look weird if too bright with darker complexions - I am not screwing over yet again people with darker complexions, therefore I made this decision, if you dislike it, use any of the other very bright textures out there

  • the meshes influence how this looks, I can't really make this any better, UBE looks better than CotR, because UBE used gen8 as base and CotR gen3 (though the meshes are better due to Dami's High Poly addon, bless them)

  • the transition from gums to teeth is kept simple due to how the textures have to work with 2 meshes and deformation from Character Creation

IMPORTANT!!!!

When you export a head over Racemenu or CK with those mouth meshes you will get a broken facetint (1Kb grey facetint file). It's because the mouth uses facetint shader. Export one time with and one time without my mouth enabled (if you are UBE user, use the mouth export fix as overwrite to my mod). One time to get the mesh into your facegen, and another time to get the tint. This is a known issue for UBE, but not so much for CotR. I can't change it, it's a technical limitation. I have to do the same process when I make NPCs myself. Pls don't complain about this, and PLEASE read this info here CAREFULLY! It's important IF YOU EXPORT FACES FROM RACEMENU/CK!!!!

Installation:

Let my files overwrite the originals.

UBE:

CotR:

Community Shaders:

  • install "CotR - UBE mouth [LM]"

ENB:

  • install "CotR - UBE mouth [LM]"

  • install "CotR - UBE mouth ENB [LM]"

Install everything in the order listed.

If you dislike the Facetint Shader for CotR you can simply delete or hide the meshes and just keep the textures. UBE has that Shader anyway.

I read the description twice, so apparently I'm kinda stupid, sorry😭 but I have to ask, just to clarify: this mod will give COTR more high-poly mouth, but won't touch the lips textures? Only those textures inside the mouth, like teeth and tongue?

No, this is a simple retex. I use high poly charmers, and that’s what I used for the mouth mesh edits. Therefore the requirement of high poly charmers. :) I retextured the inside of the head, the teeth, the gums, the mouth box and the tongue - which is the mouth. The mesh edits are listed in the description. I used a very high poly mesh and baked its details onto the original meshes. The fine details end up in the texture. That’s how game assets are done. It’s for optimization. All games you see have a lower poly mesh in the game, but the textures were made on the higher poly mesh. So it’s an illusion of details. I didn’t add a HD mesh. I added a HD texture. :)
