News on Release 0.9

Hi everyone,

Now that we've settled into Thamiris, it's time to get down to business. This month, we'll have access to the first of the three Champions' Tournaments: the Tournament of Skill.

As I mentioned in previous news posts, each of these initial Thamiris releases will be dedicated to a different tournament. The tournaments consist of a series of three trials to be completed on different days, with each trial itself comprising multiple challenges to overcome. Tournament participants are mostly young fighters who have just graduated from one of the city's academies, but the tournament is also open to outsiders like you. To enter, you simply need to pass a short qualifying test to demonstrate that you have the minimum skills required for the competition.

This month's tournament will be the Tournament of Skill, a series of challenges focused primarily on dexterity and agility. However, this does not mean that a character specializing in magic or physical strength cannot emerge victorious. In the tournament, you are allowed to use any means necessary to achieve the desired result. You will have to compete not only against the challenges presented to you but also against the other contenders. Based on the speed and effectiveness with which you complete the trials, you'll receive cumulative scores, and only the one with the highest score at the end of all three trials will become the tournament champion.

The tournament isn't easy; you need to be at a high level and come prepared if you hope to take first place and receive the large cash prize, special equipment, and, of course, the title of champion (as the game progresses, different people will recognize you as such). If you can't finish in first place, at least try to secure second place to receive the consolation prize.

No matter where you finish, simply completing the tournament will still grant you an additional permanent bonus to your main stats; in the case of this tournament, you'll receive 3 stat points in Dexterity.

Don't underestimate the tournaments. They aren't just simple, friendly sports competitions. As the trial progresses, the challenges will become increasingly difficult and dangerous—to the point of becoming deadly. Every year, the tournaments claim a few victims; let's hope you aren't one of them.

That said, let's now move on to the sexually explicit content. During the tournament, you'll meet a new and very unique character: Alanya, a Mendelyan fighter. The Mendelyans are an Astral species whose members are all women, but with a unique characteristic: depending on the situation and their partner's preference, they can have either female or male genitals.

Depending on your choices, if you decide to pursue a romance with her, Alanya can either be a woman with a vagina or a woman with a penis. Or, if you don't want to miss out on anything, you'll be able to unlock both options, and Alanya will adapt her genitals each time according to what you prefer at that moment. She isn't a futa character: she won't have both sets of genitals at the same time, only one at a time.

Alanya is strong and athletic, with a cheerful yet dominant and energetic personality. So if you decide to pursue a relationship with her, expect plenty of action. Alanya will also be a potential new member of your staff. She'll be a hunter like Khiria, so having her in your camp will allow you to double your daily food supplies, meaning you won't have to go hunting yourself anymore if you don't feel like it.

All the sex scenes in this release will focus on her. Since she doesn't clearly fit into either of the two categories indicated by your sexual preferences, you'll be explicitly asked during one of your conversations whether or not you want to start a relationship with her—and what your aesthetic preferences are.

I hope you enjoy this month's release. See you on Friday the 9th for early access.
