Apostate Verity Demo v0.1.10 is now live!
Development is still in its early stages, so while content is currently limited, we are committed to improving the experience for our supporters.
Here is the UNCENSORED version for you guys.
Changelog:
Added a new key rebinding system.
Reduced the Tree Boss's damage.
Reduced the speed of the Tree Boss's purple attack.
The tutorial for defending against purple attack now appears when player is hit by one.
Increased knockdown duration for all enemies.
Increased healing speed.
Players now fully refill healing potions at save points.
Reduced the foreground height.

Is it possible to add a cheat for people not very good at act games
We will add difficulty options in the future update. for now you can modify the save file easily, it is located in "C:\users\yourusername\AppData\LocalLow\KitDaGames\ApostateVerity\player_save_00.json" . find it and open it with any text editor, find "player_damage" and "player_max_hp" , change the number to whatever you like.save it then open the game load your savedata. done!
Loved the demo! So far my only critique is perhaps adding a knockdown mechanic for the enemies to "interact" with her. Games with only game over animations tend contradict what the player should be trying to accomplish, therefore contradicting our enjoyment of playing. Because we want to see the animations. But losing forces us to replay the same parts of levels over and over if we meet a new enemy type or if we want to see if multiple enemies have a different animation, and of course just losing normally adding to the repetition on top of losing on purpose. But with a knocked down state we have to be careful when we want to see animations, but not enough to completely avoid them even if we've seen it before.
We are working on in game h-scene part. it should be landing with demo v0.2.0 in the future.
