125: ‘Top G’ Hits Rock Bottom
Jared and Mike break down the recent arrests of MAGA "manosphere" influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate. British prosecutors want the brothers extradited to the UK to face dozens of criminal charges tied to alleged sex crimes against women and girls, adding to the similar accusations already brought against them in Romania and in a civil suit in the UK.
Seemingly anticipating his arrest, Andrew Tate had pre-filmed a three-hour-plus podcast interview defending himself against the rape and trafficking allegations. Mike and Jared discuss most telling moments from that interview, and dig into what the brothers' legal troubles mean for the broader MAGA movement, which spent years holding them up as saviors of masculinity and role models for young men.
Content Advisory: This episode includes discussion of criminal charges related to alleged acts of sexual violence and abuse. Listener discretion is advised.
Jared's album recommendation: The Beths, Expert in a Dying Field, 2023

My friend was on the university of the Pacific debate team with Will Chamberlain. Will wore his lucky silver metallic underwear for debate competitions, and apparently he got so drunk that he puked in the flower pots outside a gas station somewhere in the Midwest
I need the goods there -M
I had to go walk up and down on the top floor of my building in the middle of this ep... but on balance, it was easier to listen to than the Graham Platner one.
Beths mentioned! Woo! Seen them live and they’re so so tight and the vibes were exquisite. Real interesting crowd, young, old, everything in between. Very wholesome.
(Jump Rope Gazers is a great album too!)
I knew that Andrew Tate was a criminal monster, but I didn't realize before this that he was so genuinely paranoid and mentally ill. I wonder if he's always had these delusions of grandeur or if he was just a garden variety grifter and prison broke his brain. I predict he gets religion in prison and becomes a fundamentalist cult leader who believes he's the Messiah. Or he hangs himself.
I would literally pay extra for a regular 5-minute segment that is just the Kash impression! It slays me every time.
Loving how desprate and impotent and defeated he sounds right now 🥰
Mike slips into K$H voice for any of these asshats and I'm here for it man like a pickle back shot
Holy shit, the Joker comment. Because, of course.
