Free demo now on steam
Hi folks,
Apologies, but there seems to have been a slight issue with access, but it should be sorted now. Sorry for the hassle.
And just to clarify, the demo is free. This is just an fYI for folks that want to try it out. I'm not trying to get patrons to buy anything on steam.
The (free) demo for WTHI Season 1 can now be found on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2287710/Where_the_Heart_is__Season_1
On the Steam page, scroll down and you'll see the option to download the demo.
If you're on Steam, and want to give it a whirl, please let me know if any issues.
Thanks,
CG

Anybody else having an issue with the demo not starting on the Steamdeck? Was able to download it, but every time I try to start it, it just kicks me back to the homepage.
Hey Shelby... since the first issue was resolved... I've had a lot of confirmations from folks that it is working. You're the first person I've heard that is having an issue. But will try to figure out what the issue is. Are you running it from Steams OS/window? Or are you downloading and just running the exe file from your windows Explorer? Try clearing your cache (in Steam) and then do a "check for updates". Let me know how you get on with it.
Love the new prologue
Thanks. It defo look better than the book! :)
Is anybody able to see it or is it just me? I'm in the US, in case it's a region-specific issue.
Dammit. Thanks for letting me know. I'll take a look and try to figure it out.
I am already a supporter why should I have to pay on steam also
The demo is free. It's just an FYI for folks. I agree... Patrons are not expected to buy on Steam.
I don't see the option to download the demo, either on the Steam website or using the Steam app.
If I search Steam for "Where the Heart Is" , it creates a dropdown list of 3 items: Where the Heart Is: Season 1, Where the Heart Is Demo NF, and Outlanders: Home is Where the Heart Is. At first, clicking on the entry for the Demo didn't do anything at all, but 10 minutes later, it now goes to the Where the Heart is: Season 1 page. Maybe the updates just haven't made their way through the system.
