Animations poll
Sorry folks - had to re-do this poll as there was a problem allowing multiple votes. It should be fixed now.
I have spent a lot of time over the past few months tweaking animations and figuring out where we need more, or in some cases where I have removed an animation and replaced it with multiple stills / different POVs / different angles, etc., so I just wanted to get some feedback on your thoughts regarding animations. Looking for two different pieces of info:
1) Not specific to WTHI: But in general for these type of games, how important do you value high-quality animations versus everything else (story, characters, writing and still images), especially when you are judging the overall quality of a game.
2) For the re-do so far, what score (1 being worst, 5 being best) would you rate the animations, compared to other popular games you've played. Don't worry, I won't take offense if you score low. :)
I'm using the same poll to score both of theses, so please vote twice: One to rate the importance and one to rate the WTHI animation quality (specific to the re-do).

the 3d models you use, is there any way we can access them? I mean, I've seen a game that used the same model of Maria... or so I think, maybe it was just similar
I dont tend to give them out publicly, but I have shared them with some people to create fan-art, etc.
i used to be a loyal 20 dollar donor but with this new focus i cant get behind it... you should have finished the story first i love yall but with the current way its going i can only donate the minimum which pains me
I know you've been a loyal supporter for a looong time and your generous support is very much appreciated. And for those of you that wanted us to finish the game before upgrading the earlier episodes, I get why you would drop your tier if we're not working on something that is a priority for you. And in good news...we have already started work on episode 25.

Animation is about 2 stars. Some had a really slow stuttery fps, the smoother ones were still barebones when it comes to animation quality. Combined with subpar renders, it's not great.
Animations add a nice touch, but in my mind, they aren't a substitute for a well composed sequence of stills (the individual frames of an animation are never quite as sharp as a still). I also find a lot of animated sequences don't look life-like with respect to the character's movements (in general, not specifically with WTHI), which really takes away from the immersion.

Animations are solid 4 STARS. Great animations, but of course there is always room for improvement! More frames per animation would make it smoother, but I understand that makes each animation absurdly more work. Also, just quickly playing through the remake of chapter 3, I've noticed that the anal scene with Zarah is out of focus compared to the other doggystyle animation. This is an older release so maybe you've fixed this already? Either way, another example of how animations could be improved beyond just FPS. At the end of the day the trade off between pushing animations further may yield an improvement over what you already have, but It might not be worth it to increase production time that much for what possibly could be considered an incremental improvement.
