IDSG Bonus 27: Art, Science, and Other Stuff
Jack and I were going to record an episode but ended up having an impromptu chat about... stuff. I make a ton of technical errors here, given that I'm speaking about stuff I haven't studied for a few years, casually, and without notes, but I think it's a fun conversation regardless.
I just realized I still owe you all episodes 25 and 26, and will put them up shortly.
A full IDSG will be going up on the main feed in a few days. Sorry for the delays on those.

Is Episode 29 not going to be released to this feed?
I have a doctorate in physics so of course the Maxwell's Equations discussion had me grinning in delight. One of my mates from undergrad physics (who went on to get a mathematical physics doctorate himself) was also a naturally gifted musician and movie buff. I've heard lore that people with mathematical ability are often musically talented as well, although I myself am not. In any case, If was one of this friend's favorite movies so I'd love to hear you do a bonus episode on it at some point.
What was bonus episode 24?
Great to listen to a passionate discussion between STEM and HASS nerds on the joys of learning. Makes an old academic librarian's heart glow to hear of the importance of libraries for contemplative learning! Also reinforces how messy life is and that the world doesn't, and shouldn't, be restricted into neat boxes, never the twain shall meet, like reactionaries and fash want it to.
I have an English degree and a lifelong love of science; I would 100% listen to more of these informal sorts of chats. Take your time with the main feed! Breaks are vital!
I have hella science degrees and a lifelong love of literature and the arts and I feel the same.
