CCP v6.9 + August Lab Report 🧪🩷

Okay so. Last month I said "I'll post more" here. (whoops)

Then I went back into the lab and the door kind of... closed behind me. Again. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

In my defense was like the biggest month CCP has ever had. By a stupid margin.

Grab a coffee (check it for spirals first, i swear last day I saw a spiral on my coffee lul). Here we go

🏫 THE ARCADEMY [Prime Subjects]

There is a school now.

Tier 2 gets a new cool game on the Play tab. It opens onto a night-lit campus:

10 classrooms down two wings , a timetable that deals you fresh classes every single day , and a bell that rings you in :3

Each class is a short mini-game built out of what CCP already does to you (I cant put videos here but each name links to a short clip of the game, feel free to check them out, some are easier to see than to explain tbh):

Lost & Found - Deja Vu - The Deep End - Instant Recall - Echo

SORT - Anomaly - Impulse Control - Composure - Daily Trigger

Every single one keeps the flashes, triggers and spirals running while you play.

That is the whole point. The distractions ARE the difficulty slider.

Then there is EMI. 📺

She is the school mascot: a little CRT face who follows you around campus and comments on how you are doing (a LOT)
also asks you questions , can be dragged, petted, and told to go sit somewhere else

She has outfits now too. She has opinions about the outfits. (and she'll let them known, trust me)

If you are a Prime Subject (tier 2 supporter) you can try the arcademy right now. In the main CCP desktop app, but also on mobile, on web and even as a discord activity if you are in the server ;)
(just type /arcademy and you're set )

ALSO you can find E.M.I. as a cool guide onto the desktop itself. A chip in the rail (or Ctrl+Alt+E) summons her, and she just... stands there. On your screen. While you work.

She also carries a guidebook now. Every corner of CCP gets a page in her voice, with a tiny demo playing at the top and a TAKE ME THERE button that drops you straight into the real
thing.

Right-click her for her cards: six shortcuts you pin yourself. And yes, you can make every single one of them a bad decision. Flashes, Videos, Sessions, The Arcademy, the Rabbit Hole, the Loom.

👻 LOCKDOWN GOT SPOOKY

Lockdown used to be a timed cage and nothing else. Honestly never been rlly happy with that one, seemed a cool feat in theory but tbh, was more of a passive thing. So I reworked it.

The cage is still there, as optiond you toggle now. want the old experience? still there. tho we got something slightly different on top.

while a lockdown runs, the app itself starts to misbehave.

🖥️ CCP OS, THE NEW WEBSITE AND THE WEB APP

cclabs.app got torn down and rebuilt as a neon arcade. Wont bore you with something you can see for yourself, go check it out!

Ah also now, behind the login there is a proper CCP OS web app. Not a settings page. An actual place where you can go play EVEN WHO'S on iOS :3

Playable sessions in the browser. Pick a menu, hit play, fullscreen spiral, tunnel or kaleidoscope with your media. Just Drop from the desktop opens here too, signed in as you, wallet live.

📱 The For You feed on the web. Online niche channels, duo/trio/mosaic layouts.

🪪 Your Trainer Card, shareable with a link. (Your real face only rides a public link if you opt in.) Plus the Catalogue, past Intakes, and the Arcademy.

📲 It installs to your home screen as an app and opens signed in. iPhone people, this is for you in particular

⬆️ XP earned on web or phone lands in your desktop level. One account, finally.

🤖 EMI IS ON DISCORD (AND SO IS EVERYTHING ELSE) [FREE]

The Discord got a brain this month. Several, actually.

📺 EMI lives in the server. Ping her and she answers. On point, in her voice, and she learns from what lands every single night. She also posts callouts on her own, hypes updates, and has been caught replying to herself once. (fixed. she is grounded.)

🛟 The CCP Lounge. The bot now auto-answers the ten questions everyone asks in #ask-support, rescues questions that got no reply, and watches for regressions after each release.

🎮 Discord Activities. The Arcademy, the Graded Intake, the Loom and the For You feed all run INSIDE Discord now. No install. Fill a punch card in the Arcademy and you get a slash command for that class, forever.

🏆 Achievement posts go to the server the moment you unlock one, with the art.

📱 CCP MOBILE GOES FREE TODAY [FREE, public beta]

It happened.

The phone app leaves the supporters-only preview and goes free for everyone TODAY. Android, open beta.

And it walks in wearing a whole new outfit, because we just shipped a full redesign:

Under the new paint, since the July post it also grew:

📺 The For You reel runs on your own library. Library still empty? An online feed streamed from public Reddit communities covers you, tuned by niche picks.

🏫 The Arcademy is in it. Campus and all, with the shared wallet.

🌀 Just Drop sessions with the shop and the native kitchen, the Graded Intake and the Loom riding along.

🚶 Outside Mode. The overlays follow you into other apps.

🎮 TOYS (beta). Your toy buzzes along with every flash. Two-minute setup.

🔗 Sync with your desktop account. Linked with one QR scan.

It is a beta. It will have bugs. It will update often.

It is also free. Fair trade?

(iPhone: the web app i talked above installs to your home screen and covers most of it for now, sadly apple has a lot of restrictions, still working on some workarounds, stay tuned)

🧠 6.7, THE AVATAR MOVED INTO ITS OWN ROOM

This shipped in the first week of August and already feels like a lifetime ago, so a quick one:

🚪 its Room. The Companion tab was redesigned from the ground up, and it got a new brain: it remembers more, holds a conversation, stays in character. Opt-in Awareness lets her notice what you are doing on your PC and react to it, with a plain-words dial for what leaves your machine.

👻 The For You feed on desktop. With ghost mode: see-through AND click-through, it haunts your screen while you work. And eye control: hands-free scrolling with your webcam gaze.

⚔️ Goon Game: 1v1 duels. Throw media payloads at another player in real time, build heat, survive sudden death. P2P media, voice notes, share links, no account needed to join BUT THIS IS A TIER 2 FEATURE, only them can host a game! Also playable on the web.

🪪 Trainer Card. Some customization to your sharable profile page

🎬 New video engine, out of process. A video crash can never take the app down. The Velvet Vault replaced the launcher popup. Haptics got a multi-toy overhaul.

🗂️ 6.8, RELAPSE (EVERYTHING MOVED) - this one was a big one , the redesign update, have a look

🔧 THE BORING-BUT-IMPORTANT PART

Six repair releases this month, all built from YOUR reports.

Highlights of the casualty list:

→ the daily freebie that asked for Patreon at 15 gates → the Programs freeze that outranked your mouse → the speech model that was quietly missing from the installer → a sign-in that could die to a glow effect → the Audio Layers window that had never once opened for anyone → a prerelease built from the wrong tree that I will never speak of again

Freezes now leave a note behind when you task-kill the app, so they can no longer die anonymously.

Some of you noticed the sealed spiral on the web dashboard. And the countdown under it.

It opens TONIGHT, 21:00 CEST. (in about 1 hr)

Same day the phone app goes free.

That is not a coincidence. And that is all I am saying.
