Waifu Pop! 2.0.0 is live: Kafka is out, and the whole game got rebuilt
Kafka is here. She's this month's Patreon waifu, and she's in the build right now — redeem your code and she's yours. That's the headline. Everything below is the rest of what changed, and it's a lot: 2.0.0 isn't an update, it's a rework of the entire game.
Kafka
New girl, full picture set, her own levels, her own board. Enter your code in the game and she unlocks immediately.
And a change that matters for everyone who's been here a while: a code now unlocks every Patreon girl released up to that month, not just the newest one. So this month's code doesn't only hand you Kafka it brings the back catalogue with her. If you already redeemed and someone was missing, just start the game once; 2.0.0 repairs that on load. No re-entering anything.
A whole new look
The UI is rebuilt from scratch, not restyled. One girl on stage at full size instead of nine thumbnails in a grid, every screen re-coloured around whoever you've selected, a new logo, new buttons, new everything. The old menu was dark rectangles; this one is a game.
New levels, new boards
The campaign was rebuilt around 9 different board shapes instead of one rectangle, plus levels with real objectives instead of "score X". Every level you clear also opens Hard Mode on that level, with its own rewards for anyone who wants the campaign to bite back.
New power-ups
Hammer, Shuffle and Portal join the line-up — plus shards, affinity ranks per girl, and a rebuilt economy behind all of it so coins and tokens actually mean something now.
Daily Board
One seeded run per day, the exact same board for every player, so scores are comparable. Streak builds up to 7 days. And the fun part: each day's run borrows a random girl's pictures including girls you haven't unlocked yet. You don't earn her that way, but you get to see her. A new face most days, forever.
Nine languages
The whole game is now translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português, Русский, 中文, 日本語 and 한국어. Every menu, every level, every line of story text. Pick your language on the title screen it's the little two-letter button at the top.
Your progress carries over
Every picture you've unlocked, every girl, every star: it all comes with you. The campaign is shorter now, and your old progress is mapped onto the new levels automatically, so nothing is replayed and nothing is lost.
