🫨 Screen Motion in Visual Engine

For the past few days, I’ve been working on a cabin motion system designed to bring more life to the image while driving in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.

The whole system is still in an early stage and needs more refinement, but the first results are already interesting enough to share 👀

What’s working so far?

🔹 Stronger, short vibrations during engine startup, along with subtle rocking when shutting the engine down.

🔹 Side-to-side movement combined with slight image rotation while driving, especially during sharper and more aggressive turns.

🔹 Reactions to bumps, uneven surfaces, and curbs — with smooth rocking that gradually fades out.

🔹 A short impulse when attaching or detaching a trailer.

⚙️ Each effect can be adjusted individually in the plugin panel - from very subtle movement to a much more noticeable heavy-cab rocking effect.

Most importantly, Screen Motion does not interfere with the in-game camera.

The effect is applied directly to the final rendered image, which means the plugin does not capture or modify data from TrackIR, Tobii, or OpenTrack. The game’s original camera physics remain completely independent.

🔍 Automatic zoom prevents visible image edges during stronger movements, while the settings panel itself remains perfectly still and readable.

This is only the beginning of development for this system, but the direction is already looking very promising
