W.I.P. #5

Hello helloo! I’m back with some updates on Nancy Part 2!

First of all, I owe you a little apology because I completely disappeared off the face of the earth for the past month. If you’ve been following me for a while, you might know that I’m currently working on my degree and this month was my thesis presentation ahhh! I’m sure you understand now why I had to take a bit of time off social media.

In the meantime, I’ve still been working very hard behind the scenes to create some really cute content and improve my skills!

Originally, Part 2 of Nancy was supposed to focus on windows and doors, but wow did I underestimate how complex they are 💀 I spent the first two weeks of this month trying to model a double door and get it working, but unfortunately, it was driving me a little mad. I needed to switch to something completely different to keep my sanity! That said, I want to thank all my friends who tried to help me, one day that door will make it into the game, I know it!

So, to keep the same theme going, I thought it would be a good idea to continue working on the exterior of the house. It’s official: the next part of Nancy (probably coming out in 1–2 weeks) will be focused on patio and garden décor!

I came across some really beautiful inspiration pictures on Pinterest. The main theme is rattan: cozy yet luxurious outdoor furniture. For now, I’m only showing you some 3D models to keep you on the edge, hehe (although you might have seen more sneak peeks on Instagram). As you can see, I’ve created a few seating areas with a coffee table and my pièce de résistance: the sun umbrella! I actually have the exact same model at home and had never seen anything like it in-game, so I decided to give it a try. I hope you like it! As always, it comes in over 37 swatches, all in the Nancy set colors.

I’m also working on a really cool fence system that you can place anywhere you like, inspired by a super cute reference image. I’d love to create a matching planter or pot to go with it too, let me know if that’s something you’d like!

With this fence system, I’ve been able to create items that share the same texture, which means it also saves a lot of space on your PC! I’m honestly obsessed with organization and optimization, so this makes me really happy.

Now, let me get back to work and finish this set for you all! I’ll see you in the next update ✨
