Welcome to Curations By Kira on Patreon + How Everything Works

Hi everyone, and welcome to our Patreon!

We are Kira and Jacob, a wife and husband team who currently both work full time, and spend our free time obsessing over 3D modelling, D&D, and nerdy home decor. Supporting us here will help us spend more time designing new pieces for your tables and your homes, which means more fun projects for all of us!

This first post explains how everything here will work so you know exactly what to expect.

Monthly releases

Release day:
We release new STL content monthly on the 1st.

What you can expect each month:
Each month will include at least two models. These will rotate between things like:

• D&D and other TTRPG tools and trackers

• Unique dice towers, including our can holding and snack holding designs

• Nerdy home decor and display pieces

• Functional or everyday items (likely with a nerdy twist)

We will also run regular polls so patrons can help choose what types of models and themes they would most like to see next.

What we post besides STLs

Alongside the main monthly releases, we will share:

• Work in progress photos and videos so you can see designs take shape

• Polls to vote on future themes, styles, or types of models

• General print tips and settings, including how we print our own test pieces

Tiers and what they get

Drake - Monthly STL pack for personal use

Drakes get access to the current month’s pack of models at a very discounted rate for personal use.

How it works:

• During the month of release, models are shared through Google Drive links

• After that month, the files move to MyMiniFactory (MMF)

• Once they are live on MMF, Drakes from that month will receive an invite to redeem MMF rewards for those files

Drakes only have access to the current month’s pack.
If you missed earlier bundles, they can still be purchased later on MMF at the regular price.

Ancient Dragon - Merchant license tier

Ancient Dragon patrons receive:

• All of the same files and benefits as the Drake tier for the current month

• Merchant license rights to sell physical 3D prints of Curations By Kira Patreon models, under the terms below

There are no extra files beyond what the Drake tier receives. The benefit here is the commercial license, not additional content.

Merchant license details

The Ancient Dragon merchant license is:

• Active only while you have a current subscription to an Ancient Dragon tier for Curations By Kira

• Merchant license is not valid for Non-Patreon Curations By Kira releases (i.e. Kickstarter)

• Valid for current and previous Curations By Kira Patreon releases, but

  • Files from previous months are not automatically provided

  • To use a model commercially you must have acquired it either:

    • As a patron during its release month, or

    • By purchasing it separately on MMF

Rules for merchants:

• You may sell physical 3D prints only

• You may not sell, share, or redistribute STL files

• You must credit Curations By Kira clearly in your listings

• You must display or be able to provide the Patreon username associated with your active Ancient Dragon subscription so we can confirm that your license is valid

Feedback and collaboration

We see this Patreon as a collaborative creative space.

We love feedback, suggestions, and ideas for future projects. Polls will help guide what we focus on next, but messages and comments are also very welcome. Let us know what kinds of tools, towers, creatures, or decor you would love to see on your table.
